What do you enjoy more, singing? Or poetry? And why do you think that is?

Such a very poignant question right out the gate,  thank you for asking it.

I believe I’m more confident with my poetry. Singing is subjective and people like it or people really don’t like it. I feel like my voice brings out visceral responses of either and to each their own.

I’ve never had a feeling that my poetry, on the other hand, left anything, but the taste that I wanted the listener/reader to experience. Something about thinking a thing and sharing it with others in a beautiful way that can either make the reader feel what you’re feeling or express something they felt and could never put words to. It’s equally humbling & powerful.

38. I thought I would be a singer. I could have been better than I am, too if anyone else but me believed that then.
