“ couldn’t escape if i wanted to ”
Those words made Dorcas’ heart ache. She knew far too well where Lily was coming from. Deep down, if Dorcas looked, she felt the same. She didn’t like to think about that though.
“Listen to me, Lils,” She took the girls hands in her own, “Even if you feel like this is something you can’t escape... I’m still here and so is James. You don’t have to be alone facing this. While we may not ever be able to run away, we have each other. And... that may not be the most comforting, just know that you always have someone in your corner, okay?”
