Had the day off and used it to get the flat clean and in order. The house-owner seems to have called in an electrician to replace or turn on the earth leakage circiut breaker. I'm always carrying an electric torch with me (It's strange, but i feel like something is missing when i'm not carrying my leatherman and the electric torch with me.) but a lot of people had to find their way trough the staircase in the dark.
I went to my ophthalmologist early in the morning. Seems like my eye infection is back. But it's not as bothersome as last time, i deceided to get it looked at by an expert as long as it stays that way. Got new eyedrops because the ones i used last time messed with my skin. Kid-Matt would be afraid of "Adult"-Matt because he rocks at using eyedrops.
I had some tasty meat-dumplings (Selchfleischknödel) for a late lunch. I was glad to eat something other than sandwiches for once.
The Wife was asked if she'd be ok with being send of to "boss-school" next year. She's not sure how to proceed.
In the late evening i cleaned the rat cages (scary, the "sad" end part of Bohemian Rhapsody just came on). While i did so i remebered the girls and realized my error during all the alterations i made on the big cage: i haven't considered using acrylic glass. Not for the floors, i would still make them out of wood, but use it as a tray for the floor instead of the steel "beams" we used. I have to get together with my dad because he knows all about stability issues. And my parents have all my technical drawing stuff in their basement.
