Task 1 b

The Orphanage

Sound - The sound is exaggerating which gives a clue to the audience and that the clue is something to remember as it is signifcant. it builds tension as they use sudden sounds. it focuses on the background noise with the door, the sea and the birds.

Music - Slow music that is sad which shows the emotions of the characters in the film. A lot of the music also keeps you on edge as viewers might think that something is about to happen as the music creates that suspense.

Lighting - Darker inside which suggests that the place is haunted or something scary is about to happen or someone is in danger and they are building it up while entering this place. 

Editing - Slow style of editing as they want to keep the audience on edge. This means that the audience are hooked into the film and they want to know what happens to the characters.

Spinal Tap

Sound - They made it sound real as they played the Gigs. More realistic to the viewers as it is a documentary.

Music - Fast pace music which shows that a lot is happening in the film and this is to reach their target audience. 

Lighting - Archive footage which is Black and White to show the era they were in at the time of the band and this is the aim to get the target audience watching.

Editing - Used a lot of archive footage. Hand held camera to show them moving around with the band. Long shots which makes the audience wait and this shows the importance of the band.
