A blanket of stars covered the dark sky that chilled them to the bone. The cold was piercing, and the attempt at a fire wasn’t doing much to help. It was the warm grasp of each others body heat versus the night. He was shivering, but not because he was cold. Because his body didn’t know how to cope with this feeling. The nervous excitement he would always feel around her. An emotion where he would feel like flying, despite his feet shuffling anxiously along the ground.    He was finally ready. Ready to say three words that had been circling around his mind for a while now, but each time retreating before they reached the mouth. But not anymore. Tonight he felt more alive than ever before. I LOVE YOU The fire was out, but the flame was very much still alive.
