phewww I walked so much today, love. I went to the other side of the park today to the pond where we first had our walks before we went to the side where the dog park is. I had completely forgotten that we started out here on this side! it was definitely a nice change of scenery compared to the usual route I take. but I think that just about wraps it up for today. my feet, shoulders, and back are so sore from all the walking lol. as always, I love you, and even though I’m no longer carrying around the wallet you gave me, you’ll forever be with me in my heart, no matter where I go. looking forward to writing to you again next year, love ❤️
it’s been over 4 years since I’ve had horchata, our drink we used to get together all the time after we found out about tlaloc from shakespeare. unfortunately my idiot self forgot to take a picture of the restaurant but oh well. each sip brings back bittersweet memories, especially since I don’t have my best friend to share it with. though I wonder if you’ve ever gone back to get it ever since we parted ways.
currently typing all of this at Tate, and there’s a lot of people today bc of some event, so it’s hardly even peaceful. but I did manage to find a nice spot in the corner. not sure how long I’ll stay at school with all these people running around and what not but we’ll see. I know I’m gonna need to pee before I leave with all this horchata that I’m drinking. and I can’t go to my usual bathroom spot with all these people swarming around…
decided to take a detour and stop by the mall. you know, the mall where you guys had that wretched jewelry/watch store. although I know those days were some of the toughest for you, I still can’t help but feel nostalgic as I look at the store. I remember when I used to visit you all the time that one summer when you had to work like almost every day at the store. but I didn’t mind the drive! I was just happy that I got to see you. ah shit here come the tears lol. it’s weird seeing your old store turn into an anti discrimination store. I never knew such a thing even existed. but it’s crazy just how much has changed since the last time I came here. there’s virtually no one and so many shops have closed down. I’m wondering just how long the mall can keep operating with so many stores gone now. but I’m glad I at least came back to visit this year before it’s maybe too late.
