Patrick Stump
He gazed into her eyes as he gently held her by her arms and pulled her close. “ What do you want to do?”
Her cheeks flushed red as she broke his gaze, “ I don’t know.” The two stood on the corner of the street next to his house, alone. She wasn’t perfect, but something about her made him want to know her maybe just a little more.
“Are you sure you don’t want to come watch a movie?” He asked for the fourth time. “
I’m sure.” She didn’t want it to end it just yet but she was ready to leave.
“ Ok, fine we’ll go take a walk.” He wasn’t ready to let her go just yet. This was the last time that would be able to see each other. He dropped his hands from her arms and held onto her hands. She blushed again.
“ Are you sure you want to walk? You’re such a lazy ass.” She felt a little victorious.
“ We don’t have to do anything you don’t want to, I promise.” He tried again.
She pressed her lips together. “You’re not going to change my mind.”
“ Alright, lets go for a walk… to the park?”
“Park, like your last name.” She smiled.
He laughed at her stupid pun, “Yes, like my last name.”
She smiled to herself as they walked down the dimly lit street. He held onto her hand. From a distance the looked like a couple. She felt that there could be possibly if they only had more time. She wasn’t sure of what his intentions were, or what they might have been, but she was high off of her imagination; letting the idea of him take over her mind like it had already in her heart.
The two reached a bench and sat down. He watched her as she looked up into the sky.
“ You’re warm.” He put one hand on her knee.
She hesitantly reached out and placed her hand over his, “ You’re so cold!”
“ Well I wasn’t planning to stay outside for long.” he grinned.
“I didn’t make you!” she said defensively.
“ I know.” He watched her, she couldn’t even look at him. It amused him.
There were a few stars in the sky. It wasn’t perfect but she didn’t mind. He placed his hand on hers. She thought she was in a dream.
“ Do you want a kiss?” he offered. He didn’t want to make her feel uncomfortable because even though they only recently met, he knew she felt insecure about things like these because of her past.
“What?!” He had caught her off guard. What did he mean by a kiss? Was he crazy?
He smiled, “ A kiss.”
She became hesitant as he slowly leaned in towards her, his eyes watching her making sure that she was fine with it. She let his lips toucher hers. His lips were soft and gentle.
She thought he was done, but he kept going. She became flustered. She pushed him back, “ I can’t!” Her face turned red. She was embarrassed.
He moved back a little, “What’s wrong?”
She shook her head as she laughed nervously, “ It’s been too long. I feel so awkward doing this, I don’t know anymore.” She started to freak out.
“It’s okay!” He tried to reassure her, “We don’t have to if you don’t want to. He became a little confused himself.
They sat in silence for a moment. Occasionally they would look at each other and the girl would laugh because she was still embarrassed. “ I’m sorry.” she said as she gazed to the sky. She noticed that a few more stars appeared in the sky.
“ No, no it’s fine!” he laughed.
“I just, I-I… I don’t know!”
“You don’t know what?”
They stared at each other for a moment, “… to kiss.”
He started to lean towards her again. She thought about pushing him, but she didn’t. He gave her a small peck this time. “See, you’re fine.”
She didn’t believe him, but she laughed anyways.
They sat for a few more minutes. “ I guess we should both go home now then…”
“Yeah.” She agreed.
“ What time are you leaving tomorrow?”
“ After 11.”
“I see.”
She looked away.
“ It was nice meeting you.” He hugged her.
“It was nice meeting you too.”
And with that, they both parted their ways.

@onedirection: It’s Saturday! What is everyone up to?
it’s getting better.
things have been a lot better since i saw Rayna last Sunday.
i’ve been thinking more positively about our relationship. we’ve been talking everyday again. things have gone back to normal. she seems to be doing better. i think it’s that i get really thrown off when i don’t have my relationships on the usual track, and then i get really insecure and feel like i don’t know anything or anybody, which is still true but not as prominent and blaring when i’m more in contact with them. i love these people so dearly. i’m terrified to lose them.
being productive feels great. i haven’t been as productive as i would’ve liked to be, but it has been better.
haven’t been waking up for my 8ams, but i recently have started again. i missed a week of 8ams and i felt terrible. i have a lot of catch up to do.
it may be possible that depression is lurking inside of me and waiting for a great recession into myself or some sort of trigger, i don’t know. this is just an observation based on how i felt the last 2 week or so, but i really don’t think i’m that bad yet.
there’s only a month of school left. 2 weeks of class left. i miss my family and friends so much. sophomore year is always a shit show. i can’t wait for it to end. summer plans are also a worry. econ is also looking grim. keeping high hopes. not so sure about the low expectations though yet since i’m too much of an optimistic pessimist.
