October 2014: Making my mark was always on my bucket list of things to do before I die. Never will I forget the day my grandfather showed me an article of my uncle flying back to Vietnam with my local high schools' soccer team to visit my sick great grandmother and touching hearts back in the homeland. My grandfather had lectured me on giving without receiving, being a good role model, and staying in school. From that moment on, I wanted to be the good person and granddaughter that he can be proud of. I have experienced many challenges that lead me to be the person I am today, and I'd like to share my voice. Here, I'd also like to show my journey and the awareness of many organizations I've been and currently still involved with. I enjoy being involved within my community and I want to inspire others to become involved as well, no matter where you are and what you do.
