What I love about the Anakin & Trench scene is that the stakes are -- for this war, this series -- pretty low. The base had been evacuated of everyone but Mace (and he could still make good odds on escaping) and they’d already gotten a Big Win by retrieving Echo. Taking out Trench would be a cherry on top of a campaign that was essentially won at that point.

Anakin isn’t doing his because he’s scared for clones or Obi-Wan or Mace or out of some deep drive to protect one (1) base. Over the war his focus has spiraled more and more tightly inward and now he can’t turn off his Win At Any Cost mode. He’s powerful and practised and he knows how to get results and the context doesn’t matter so much as the opportunity itself. He’s, you know, GOTTA.

Years ago today

7th April

2015:  Chrissie comes back home. Aaron goes running and falls in the woods. 

2016:   Robert is still convinced Andy only wants Chrissie’s money. Chrissie is sure that it was Robert who attacked Andy, when in fact Lawrence hired guys. Lawrence has heart problems and Robert picks his teeth.

2017:  Short scene between Robert, Vic and Rebecca. 

2018: No episode
