Song of the Day

I’ve watched my fair share of Bollywood films. I will admit that they do portray certain themes in a very minimized or outlandish fashion. However, I wanted to investigate if Bollywood has ever done anything to describe the highly stratified caste system that their society has in place. Moreover, I wanted to find if anyone has ever spoken against or for social reform. To my surprise, there are a few songs that I read about in this article. This song appears in the film Yuva. Enjoy.

Saying the words “you’re going to be okay, Leah” out loud to myself whenever I feel the sadness creep in has become an everyday thing now, on day 9. Sometimes I throw more in there, but mostly I remind myself that I will absolutely be okay. My experience has taught me that I will be okay and I have to acknowledge that and respect what I know to be true.
