Working off some jet lag, so I went out to have some fun.

There was an old tale

Saying how a God couldn’t associate with us humans

For our sins lingered in our blood

And our every breath was of pure evil

But one day I lay

Quietly about to die

The sun’s heat drowning in my eyes

I could barely utter a cry

A plea for help to draw me nigh

The flames on my skin scattered

As He ran and picked me up

He flung His arms around me

And told me everything would be alright

I didn’t understand for a moment

All thoughts flooded my mind

Yet He stood still and carried me

As I waited to die

Mere moments later

I thought I began to cry

But as I looked up to my Creator

It was Him with saddened eyes

The fiery skin that surrounded me

Burnt Him to the ground

Pondering upon my day

Why would He embrace me

A living enemy of His
