I used to carry a towel in my purse in college, because of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. It actually came in quite handy in winter when there was nowhere to wait on the train but on unforgiving metal benches.

I'm not against stepping on cracks or lines on the sidewalk, but it has to be in even numbers.

I knock on wood to avoid jinxing myself. If there is no wood available, I knock on my head.
