By the way, since you're an Eruri shipper. I always thought that it was always a little one sided, especially with Levi, the latest ackerman revelation reinforced that perspective. In many ways, if there is a Erehisu, I always thought it was one sided with Eren much like Eremika where it is Mikasa. Do you have any metas, blogs that could prove to me that Eruri could be canon ? Especially because I've noticed some parallels with my own ship in RTS, Eremin. I would like some Erwin material.

While I love Eruri to death, proving their canonicity has never been a thing I care about, so if it’s ok with you I will interpret your question as what canon aspect I personally enjoy.

It took 72 chapters of the manga to convinced me that Erwin was Levi’s guy. I’ve never cared if that was in a romantic or platonic sense because it was the trust, respect and devotion that Levi holds for Erwin that caught my eye. When I look at my own relationships, these are the qualities that matter most. I value my partners trust, respect and devotion far more than anything we shared at the crush stage. Don’t get me wrong, those were great too. But the depth of feeling that comes with time and commitment are what impress me. That’s what I see with Erwin and Levi.

Erwin’s devotion to Levi is all over the supplemental materials, but if I stick to canon what I appreciate most is that Levi is the person who makes Erwin smile. I don’t mean that symbolically. I started the Erwin Smith Smile Masterpost long before I was a shipper and back then I had to begrudgingly admit that Levi brought out the softer side of Erwin. Erwin shows a level of comfort with Levi that I don’t see with anyone else. 

One-sided is funny to me because the way people demonstrate care in relationships is rarely equal in every sense. People show love in a variety of ways. For my partner it’s in bringing me a cup of coffee every morning. For me it’s taking my eyes away from my cell phone long enough to say thank you. With Levi it’s shown in threatening to break Erwin’s legs in such a way that he’ll still be able to go to the bathroom properly. For Erwin it’s laughing uproariously at the threat.

It’s only been a few days, right? 3 or 4? My guess would be that the recruits Shadis spoke to before he died, the ones he told to wait for the right moment, will at some point rise up to seize control from the Jaegerists. Maybe we’ll discover the Garrison has gotten involved and Rico is now President.  I’d love to think the reality of what Eren has done would eventually seep into the public consciousness and they would feel a profound sense of horror and shame.

I've listened to the podcast and I agree a lot with what you said. I feel like Isayama is just trolling us at this point. It's a great trolling, but a trolling is a trolling, and it's annoying. People say he is rushing but we haven't even got an important plot point out of the way in this chapter. Okay it's a set up chapter but we really need to start moving.

And he keeps introducing new elements like Falco's Flying Titan or the experiments of the Female Titan.

Where is Historia, why did she do nothing ? Ackertalk ? Betholttalk ? Eren's current situation which I don't know how can anyone be pleased with, or make sense out of it...

Levi's growing fingers now ? That makes sense but it's so ignored.

It all just feels like he's waiting for the new basement twist and make everything explode all at the same time but what was so good with the basement event is that some plot points, important plot points were already resolved. And by the time we arrived, we knew things and when everything was put together: it made the whole picture much more cohesive and it was more pleasing rather than everything blowing up your face.

Here almost nothing is resolved and some things in 133 don't feel natural unlike the other chapters with the Alliance.

And on top of that he's giving us an Evangelion type of ending which would make this whole situation justified which I hate because this whole thing could've been easily avoided. Especially with so many elements not fitting together.

The "we are the same" is a good concept but this wasn't handled very well.

I can't put the 104th, on the same level as Reiner and I certainly cannot put Reiner on the same level as Eren.

There is a context to the actions they have done. It's not a matter of who's worse or why. It's how... Yet we still don't have this how. We are just here seeing people hating themselves for things that in retrospect is not as horrible as they make it out to be and I'm talking about the 104th. Reiner and Eren are a very different case. This is probably the first time I see a flaw in Isayama's writing.

I also think that's why he is so scared now after GOT Season 8 because there was so much wait and build up to something greater that when season 8 aired, it's no wonder the fandom was so dissapointed because nothing that was presented at the start seemed to lead to that conclusion.

And seeing what's going to happen the next chapters with again another problem with Marley. The story will drag on if not done properly. It reminds me of One Piece with the Wano Arc which is so lackluster compared to what was teased or even The Walking Dead ( and that's a lot blow from me ) who got worse after each new season because of plot points that were dragged endlessly.

Sorry for the long rant.

Anyway, Mom, you are brave to do these polls because sometimes this story is not easy to process. I hope the story gets a move on now and we start exploring something new especially Historia because I cannot take another 133 great in some part but exhausting especially with a 132 that was so amazing compared to it.

A long rant but a good one. While I’m still optimistic that it’s all going to work out, I find myself mostly nodding along while reading it.  I think it emphasizes what I was trying to say in my ask about why people are feeling a little more panicky and dissatisfied recently. @linkspooky put it colorfully in the podcast. The story has been swirling around the drain for too long. It feels like it’s time to finally flush the toilet. With 134 being a volume closer, it feels likely that will happen.

Shit, well it makes sense that they have the best hygiene.

But sadly I will loose my headcanon that Levi smells like cedarwood, soap and lavender.

And Armin smells like soft honey, peach and sugar.

Eren, him on the other hand... I don't know why... I think he might stink a little bit.

Eren is stinky for sure 😂

About Historia, what if it's not just a fake pregnancy we saw in chapter 107 but a fake Historia. ( This is just me lol-ing but...) What if the Historia we saw in that chapter is not the real Historia and someone else disguised as her. This might sound dumb but the only time we saw Historia was either through flashbacks and we never really saw in the present timeline. And maybe we saw her in path but if it's her, why is she all dressed up ? Maybe she's somewhere we don't know.

Listen, I am 100% down for any ending that involves a not pregnant Historia so if all we’ve seen is a Historia cosplayer in those flashbacks I am a-ok with that!
