Tinder dates are always awkward, aren’t they? Santiago hasn’t been on a date in a little over a year, not for his lack of trying, but also because he’d spent so much time just trying to graduate. He didn’t have time for much of a social life when he’d been working on getting his degree so he could find a career in the field he was passionate about. He’s freelance right now, so he doesn’t have a career, per say, but he’s putting his degree to good use and that’s all that matters. He’s supposed to meet her at this coffee shop, though, some place he’d found online and had never been to personally, but it was the halfway point between their places. It’s shady as hell, showing up there to realize the place appears to have been closed for some time now. “Uh-- well, I wasn’t expecting that. I passed this delicious looking Mexican place on my way here if you want to do that instead?” He offers, hoping this doesn’t make him sound like a creeper who’d actually planned some shit like this.
