Anyway Sam’s story of why he came to the Wall should be all the evidence anyone needs that the Tarlys are horrible and deserved worse than the instantaneous death that Dany gives them in 7.05.
Sam and Jon are the brotp of my life and I love how Jon defends him from the beginning. Their friendship is so pure because truthfully they have nothing in common. Jon is just kind at heart and can’t stand to see someone senselessly hurt <3
And again, I love the parallel of Jon protecting Sam from being beaten just like Dany protects Doreah from being beaten by Viserys. I stan two soft Targaryen bbs.
Jon: “That's enough. Sam's no different from the rest of us. There was no place for him in the world, so he's come here.”
Me:
I’ve never noticed this before, but Doreah mentions having seen a man wielding a dagger of dragonglass while she’s in the tub with Viserys. I don’t think it’s significant or anything just cool to see it mentioned this early in the show.
Tyrion giving Bran the saddle is really sweet and he doesn’t get enough credit for doing that.
