Stockghyll Force upper falls by Mark Airey Via Flickr: This is the top part of the main falls of Stockghyll Force waterfall in the woods just 5 mins walk from the center of Ambleside. Certainly worth the walk if you are in the area as there is a nice circular route in the wood up around the waterfall, following the river.  A bit of long exposure with the 10 stop filter after work one night at the end of May. Sorry for re uploading but had to fix the color balance !! At Pegia resides the much photographed shipwreck of Edro 3 . I tried a new angle from the opposite shore , to include the setting sun in the frame and I had to use the Nikon 24-70mm for this.

Definitely best seen on black ...please press "M" Had to wait for a while for the 2 policemen to leave , so that I could enter the lighthouse area , surrounded by high wire , through a small opening of the fence.
