Haida 17-Stop ND5.0 Drop-In Filter Review
I tried out Haida’s latest super-dark ND5.0 drop-in filter for the M10 Holder System. This filter cuts a whopping 17 stops of light. For the long exposure enthusiast, this filter opens up capturing long exposures opportunities in the brightest of conditions. It performs great, has an impressively minimal color cast, and is well built. I share thoughts about this filter and field results in today’s video.

Why Physical Filters Are Still Important
I got a question from Linda about physical filters and why I use them. Given how much can be done in post processing, are physical filters still needed?
For most of the scenes I photograph, I believe physical filters are superior to post processing. I explain why in today’s video. Also, there is one type of filter I’ll never own and prefer to use digital tools. Watch the video and find out which filter I think it completely unnecessary now.

Neutral Density’s; the chosen one.

New PolarPro Variable ND Filter Line Announced & Reviewed
Long exposures can help create ethereal, dreamy images, where ocean waves dissipate into a foggy blur and even clouds in the sky can begin to swirl and streak. But during most of the daylight hours, it’s impossible to shoot with exposures beyond a half-second or so, even when your lens is stopped down to f/22 and your ISO set to 100.
That’s when neutral density (ND) filtersbecome…
