Got a whole bunch of Adagio teas for Christmas, will be doing reviews. Here's the first two.
Mycroft Holmes:
Really simple tea. In the bag, the most obvious scent is the vanilla chai. It smells spicy and sweet and warm. Once you brew it (200 degree water, steeped 5 minutes), the notes of cream and chocolate chip come out along with the cinnamon from the chai. It's rather bitter without sugar, I wouldn't recommend it. Tried this both with rock and white sugar, I personally liked it best with three teaspoons of white sugar. It's pretty good just with sugar, but this tea really shines when you add milk to it. It tastes just like spice cake! Wonderful tea, and one I will definitely order more of when it comes in.

This tea is...I really don't know where to start. Similar to how Rose was wary to the Doctor when he first changed, I was very wary of this tea. It honestly smells awful in the bag, like overripe bananas and super bitter chocolate. It smells a lot better when you brew it (Boiling water, steeped 4 minutes), very warm with hints of marigold. However, tastes awful straight. All you get is the Irish Breakfast. I suppose if you like straight black tea, it would be alright, but it's far too bitter for me! However, once you add a bit of sugar (two teaspoons of white sugar), this tea springs to life! The guanabana tastes just like bananas, and there's a subtle undertaste of chocolate that makes it just sweet enough. Milk really softens it out and lets the chocolate come through. It gives it this weird kooky taste, very much like a chocolate covered banana. It's an excellent dessert tea, but not something that I would want to drink every day. When this tea is iced, however, it's perfect! It's subtly sweet and fruity, with just the amount of tea flavor. Perfect for a hot summer day!
