it finally rained today. i wish you were here to see it. all the trees got so saturated, all their branches weighed heavy with dew. their colors were rich, full of life. i imagined that the trees were hollow, but not empty, that when the rain started, all of the creatures crawled into their nooks and cracks in the tree trunks, and when the rain stopped, if you were to put your ear against one of these openings, the echos of the creatures and the creak of the swaying tree would ring so loud that you wouldn’t believe the woods could be so quiet.

I made eye contact with both Pete and Patrick tonight and Patrick highkey smiled at me (though he was just a happy boy in general tonight), so I'm happy. Great concert
