Here we go!
5/100
This is going to be a half 100 days of productivity post and about me post, because fuck it??? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
So here’s the thing: feel like most of the 100 days of productivity either involve being productive inside of school, outside of school, or outside of work--which is freaking amazing, like I live for that shit. You guys fucking rock it and it gives me a lady boner.
However, I feel like being productive in your work place counts too? Whether you push yourself in a project at work you procrastinated, or found more efficient ways to run your department. Like, that shit takes effort--let me tell you.
So this is like, where that whole ABOUT ME part comes in and why I am TOTALLY counting it as my productivity for the day because I am exhausted as heck:
I work as patient registration in the emergency department (ED) in what is out Check Out/Copay office. A big portion of the job is going to rooms and making sure they’re information is update and collecting copays.
Sounds easy-peasy, right?
Well somehow, this fucker (me), manages to just be in 5 places at once????
Our ED has 45 rooms which are usually split into 2, so I take half, my coworker in ambulance bay takes half. Well, my coworker had technical difficulties so I ran the floor for an hour, ran parts of check in, was running through the entire hospital putting paper work in charts, and managed to cover two lunches....
A part of me doesn’t WANT to add this to my productivity streak, but also at the same time, I was productive as heck, and felt like a fucking boss doing 800 things at once.
SO, should anyone read this far down (lol congrats, comrade):
what are your thoughts on adding work as a part of 100 days of productivity? Do you feel like it counts or is work just work?
Idk... adulting is rough.
