Ok so I’m pretty sure in the ven diagram of people who’ve read the Mercedes Lackey 100 Kingdoms series and people who like @sweetfirebird‘s short stories and novels I’m like... the lone person in the middle BUT.
A Toby/Sami AU set in the 100 Kingdoms guys!!!!! Toby’s situation sets off the tradition and his mom planting dozens of rose bushes around their manner house makes it worse and then Sami happens across AND !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It would be so good. I guess I’ll just have to enjoy it by myself.
(I do in fact recommend the 100 Kingdoms series with caveat that some of them are significantly better than others. I’d start with the first one and then the ones with the dragons that I don’t remember the name of. Because library dragons called Book Wyrms!!)
