Brb crying over the entry on Nemik’s manifesto in the 100 Objects book
Still thinking about The 100 Day Project and what it’s brought into my life. I didn’t really know in 2016 that this thing would end up shaping my creative work for the next three years. I found the structure and pacing of the project really liberating—it was impossible to sprint through. You have to take your time, one page at a time, to create something significant.
2016′s project documented 100 significant objects from my life in a collection of pocket notebooks, which I ended up turning into a facsimile box set at the end of the whole process. This is easily the most outrageously indulgent print object I’ve ever made, with gold foil stamping and custom laser-cut box designed by my friend Kristen at Twin Ravens Press. The covers were die cut with shiny gold endpapers behind them, and I just loved the whole process of getting to make something exactly the way I wanted it.
(I’ve still got a few up for sale, if you want one.)

In 2016 I participated in The 100 Day Project by illustrating and writing a brief page about a meaningful object in my possession for 100 consecutive days. This collection includes all 100 entries (technically 101) plus some thoughts on crafting sustainable creative practices, all bundled up in a hefty PDF.
I’ve compiled alllllllll my 100 Day Project drawings into a very handsome PDF collection! Hooray! The print edition is still trucking along—files going off to the printer this afternoon. Keep an eye out for those (or straight-up preorder one here.)
