615 day: nashville's lightning 100 celebrates local musicians

today is the day, folks!!  nashville's beloved indie radio station, lightning 100 (100.1fm) is celebrating the music of those who call the 615 (area code) home! although i no longer count among those, i hope to, again, soon :)  (even before living in nash, this station became one of the things i treasured most in my favorite city on earth)

the entire day of 6/15 is filled with the tunes of music city's lovely locals. the goodness abounds with stuff from the vespers & trent dabbs to jars of clay & jack white! the list goes on.. (what's playing now? http://wrlt.tunegenie.com/ )

Who They Are: KRUU-LP 100.1 FM is a solar-powered, open source, independent, non commercial, listener-supported, grassroots community low power radio station, broadcasting 24 hours/day and 7 days/week since September 30th, 2006 from Fairfield, Iowa. 99.7% of the programs at KRUU are produced by some 100 volunteer hosts who create 80 shows a week. Only one program is not produced by KRUU hosts.
