100 Bookish Prompt Challenge 2026 #6: Outdoors
The Witches of Crannock Dale by Thomas M. Kane.
Mostly just because I'm reading it right now, but also, in the background, you can see the remains of the traditional end-of-winter bonfire, and for a book about a witch hunt, that's not the worst background you can get.
100 Bookish Prompt Challenge!
Happy New Year, Friends!
This year, I'm committed to doing more with the books I'm reading - and that means more on social media. I don't know about you, I absolutely adore Book Photo Challenges, but I keep finding myself too busy or not motivated by prompts enough to actually complete a full month - yes, even my own book photo challenges in which I pick prompts I specifically want to do. Current Amy never knows what's going to work for future Amy - go figure.
I'm going to try something new this year: Above is a list of 100 Bookish Prompts which have also been entered into this Random Picker Wheel. When you're motivated and want to take one (or 100, I can't stop you) bookish pictures, spin the wheel to get one randomly generated or pick one from the list above - they are the same. Do the same prompt multiple times, spin again if you don't have a good idea for the prompt you get, choose a new prompt every day or choose several in the same day. This is about making prompts that work for you and me (mostly me).
If you want to try to do all 100 prompts this month, do it. If you want to pick one or two prompts to do a week, do it. If you want to revisit prompts later, do it. If you don't like the prompt you get the first time, don't do it. If you want to use the prompts in a different way (to choose your next read, or to talk about a book that meets the theme, for example), do it. I came up with this idea because I will get bursts of time and motivation, but either don't want to start a Book Photo Challenge in the middle of a month and feel behind or just don't feel motivated by the prompt choices and just taking a picture of a book without a prompt feels wrong. Or I feel motivated for the prompt theme, but know I don't have the spoons to actually compete it and then just never get around to it. Toddlers are hard.
You can tag me in your pictures and use the tags #DragonBadgerChallenge and #100PromptsChallenge. I can't promise I'll check every day, but I will check routinely and post all the pictures.
If you like this idea, I want to hear about it! If you have ideas on how to improve, I want to hear it! I want to be part of bookish communities this year and Booklr was my first home.
Let's be creative!
