100 Women in Hedge Funds Launches New Millennial Program
The industry association for women in alternative investments, 100 Women in Hedge Funds, recently launched their new program, which is specifically designed for professional women with fewer than 10 years of industry experience, at a special event in the Cayman Islands.
Since 2001, 100WHF has been the leading association for female professionals in the alternative investments industry. 100WHF has grown exponentially since its inception and now boasts an impressive 15,000 person membership in 21 locations across three continents. Through education and providing access to peer networks and opportunities to give back, 100 Women in Hedge Funds continues to empower professional women across the industry.
However, the organization is now focusing their efforts on the next generation of female leaders in the alternative investment industry. 100 Women in Hedge Funds’ new initiative, “New Gen,” strives to provide support these young women who are still early in their careers. Through the support given by this new program, young professionals will be better equipped to handle challenges and opportunities they may face during their time in the finance industry.
100WHF Next Gen was officially launched at the “New Gen Inspire” event, which took place in the Cayman Islands October 20 - 21, 2016. The launch event offered an array of discussion, forums and panels focused on popular topics for millennial females in business. New Gen Inspire attendees and participants kicked off the event on Thursday night with a networking session and panel discussion.
Among the many featured panelists were Pilar Bush and Jackie Doak, both representing Dart Realty Ltd at the event. A subsidiary of Dart Enterprises and owned by Kenneth Dart, Dart Realty is the premier developer and property management services organization of the Cayman Islands. Since its inception, Dart Realty has been committed to thoughtful and sustainable development and ultimately the overall prosperity of the Cayman Islands and its residents. Well-known developments in the Cayman Islands by Dart Realty include the residential neighborhood of Salt Creek and the new Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa.
