I read an article a while back that criticized In This Moment (and when I say ‘criticize’, I mean borderline slandered) that was written when they were about a year old and had just released a few covers of bands like Pantera and Slayer. Here is all the reaaons they are wrong:
First of all, they are wrong because they called Maria Brink ugly. Like, what even the hell? She’s literally one of the hottest women I’ve ever seen, if not the hottest. Second, they are wrong because they compared a NEW FREAKING BAND to some of the biggest names in metal history and dismissed them because their covers were “merely reminders of what made the originals so great”. That was the whole point, they were meant to pay homage, not to show how much better they are. And while I agree they could’ve done better with the covers, they were FREE DOWNLOADS on MySpace. How can you even compare a free download of a cover by a baby band to the original of a legendary band? And lastly, they’re wrong because they ended the article with the words “You’ll soon have more crap to make sound terrible”, which in itself is a terrible sounding sentence.
