How cool is this method of watch procurement? I want to be like that (maybe when I grow up)
“Can you tell us about the most interesting watch you’ve ever found/owned?It probably has to be a 6536-1 Sub I found locally. It wasn't NOS, it wasn't a full set, but it had the "look" and it was all original. I got it by purest luck; spotted it in line at Starbucks and didn't let the old gentleman leave with it. I paid for his coffee, we got in my car, drove to the bank and I took it off his wrist. To him, it was just a watch he bought in late 50's while stationed in Guam and wore carelessly ever since; to me, it was the most exciting and memorable find up to date.”

Relaunch of Nipple Dial and a mini state of the union....
Well folks, looks as if I didn't keep my promise of keeping the blog updated with all the cool things (or lack of) that go on in the life of a watch dealer. After some prodding by friends, I've decided to relaunch my nipple dial blog on the tumblr platform. I'm still getting used to this stuff so pardon the dust while I settle in here and (hopefully) post more frequently.
Here's a few highlights of my last 12 months.
Hit 1,000,000 lifetime miles flying on United on the way to Hong Kong in June of 2011.
Spent 101 days last year sleeping on the road in hotels.
Although Rolex is my first love, I've embraced other brands out there with cool history and timeless design.
Lost countless hours of sleep trying to correctly predict currency exchange rates.
Some real cool press from HODINKEE, HYPEBEAST, Revolution Magazine and others...
Bi-Monthly articles in The Watch, spreading my love for vintage Rolex.
Cool stuff to come, so keep checking back.
Oh and for those wrist shot guys, here is what's on my wrist today. Crown guards so sharp you can cut your finger!
