Mina laughed despite her grief, "So you're going to call up Louis and tell him my mid century crisis is your vacation. I can't wait to hear how that goes." "Do you have a punching bag here?" she asked, "that might help." Because Mina didn't see herself taking it out on him, but she was worried how she'd be if she bottled it all up with nowhere to go. Mina wrapped a nearby blanket around her shoulders for warmth as she took in the painting, she memorized all the details, "It's such stunning work." She reached out to take his hand, "You should ask him, and if he doesn't want it, then put it in one of the houses that he doesn't go to. Art wasn't meant to be boxed away
"Non, he already knows I am going to be away. I told him it could be a couple weeks. I was expecting to have to go back multiple nights to help you and to find this painting." He smiled at her, "He will be fine, cher. He will be able to catch up on his reading."
Lestat shook his head, "Désolée, I do not need those type things. There is an indoor pool that is heated in the basement."
Lestat nodded, "Oui, it is my favorite one that we had done. There were others but not as fine as this one."
He squeezed her hand, "Perhaps, I should ask him." He sighed, "Oui, it is sad all that work in the Talamasca that will never see the light of day."
