Jingyan held Sir Su the whole night. His body was cold, cold as the day he stood in the snow before Jing Manor. It was only fair now that Jingyan used his own body warmth to compensate.

Whether his strategist was Xiao Shu or not, he had no way of finding out. His face, Jingyan carefully examined, looked nothing like that sunny beaming boy of his youth.

And his body was long and thin. He was taller than Xiao Shu by a little, which only exacerbated his frail appearance.

Still, Xiao Shu or no, this man had lifted Jingyan from the dark and hopeless place in which he’d lived for the last thirteen years with no expectation of reward. He had already made the mistake of misjudging his strategist once; he would not let harm come to the man a second time.

How on earth do you find fanfic so fast, like you said you 'looked through ao3' that's several hundred fanfics in the tag??

alright settle in, ffr: while I run that blog bc I am happy to do it for yalls, it’s actually really easy to search for fic yourself, as long as you are on a device that lets you search for text

- First I just google search ‘[shipname] [whatever AU etc sb is looking for] [fanfiction]’. if nothing good turns up, substitute fanfiction for ao3 or put quotation marks around parts of the search. If you still have nothing but know for a fact that the fic exists, 

- go on the ship’s tag on ao3, set the filters however way you like- broad enough to still definitely not miss out on anything, in this last case I just didn’t set any- and then search for what you are looking for. as the anon wanted a pirate AU, I searched for the word ‘pirate’. there are 30 pages for the Andy/Quynh tag on ao3, so I just had to click next page, ctrl-F (search) and Enter 30 times and open the fics that had the word ‘pirate’ in tags or description in a new tab :)
