KNEEL BEFORE ZOD!
My little brother, circa 1982 and I don't remember what he did to his left arm, wearing Superman (1978) jammies he may have inherited from our other brother, and using our mother's hair dryer.
Phil got all the babes with his Polaroid SX-70.
Proof!
My mother's cousin Paul farting in the direction of my baby brother, Christmas Eve 1983.
Two true stories about Ed's Bar-B-Q Drive In:
1: As the signage shows, the place served Pepsi products. As part of the package, there were two small plaques inside, one on each of the side walls, saying "We are proud to serve Pepsi as our only cola beverage." But Eddie wasn't proud of this, he wanted to offer other drinks... Dr. Pepper and 7-up, for instance, were their own brands, and possibly he wanted to satisfy the Coke drinkers too. So he had written ^NOT after the "are" on both of the signs.
2: At either side of the entrance were pinball machines. Inside the restaurant there was a U-shaped counter and this left a bunch of dead space in the corner of the building, and pinball machines were suitable fillers to make a few more bucks. I walked in one day and the machines were gone, so asked about them. Eddie told me that he'd had a dispute with the representative of the entertainment company in Yakima that leased him the pinball machines, and (his words) "I got mad and told him where he could stick them, and he thought I said the back of his pickup."
Scanned from 110 negative, circa 1979 going by the "Mork from Ork" shirt on a kid and how young my best friend looks, both in another of the photos on this roll. The building is still there but is now a taco bar and looks extremely tacky, but last I looked the metal Pepsi sign that is part of the handle to open the entrance (albeit turned inward and painted black) is still there.
Two photos scanned directly from 110 negative of a birthday party.
A dinner party from 110 negative.
Where I spent a lot of my time as a kid.
