Chapter 10 is up. I am dead.
Re-reading 113 Times We Didn’t Talk.
God, I hope the bitch who writes it hurries up and updates after I finish my re-read.
It’s been 7 months since the last 113 update, pls come back and update it 😭
Wow, where did the time go??
Look, I lost motivation, but it’s bubbling up again.
Forcing the story isn’t good for me or my readers, though. So if it wasn’t there, it wasn’t there.
It’ll come when it comes.
I swore my writing loyalty to me, myself, & I 🫡
Ehhh fuck it, Karlie made me smile today so…
Snippet - opening of 113 TWDT, ch. 11:
-
Taylor’s never fully known what it’s like inside Karlie’s brain, but she’s always admired it. Karlie’s so calm, collected… untraumatized in a way Taylor couldn’t relate to. She seemed to easily carry the weight of the world, as if it was made of feathers.
It always made her feel safe, knowing Karlie could ignore the smoky haze of life’s troubles and be logical, thoughtful, and engaging in the same moments Taylor found herself distraught with indecision and a desire to run.
Maybe that’s why they worked. Karlie found ways to learn from Taylor’s anxieties, to address pain points head on as they emerged, and bring Taylor across the bridge to sanity faster.
But Karlie always said she got so much more than she gave. That the quicker they got across the bridge, the more time it allowed for her to soak in all of Taylor’s “brilliant plans for battle” for the awaiting pathway.
Taylor never wanted to bring her down this road, though. She tried time and again to pivot, to reroute, to make a grand gesture so big, so loud, that no one could doubt it was for Karlie. And when it all blew up in her face, Karlie somehow was still stable, still engaged, still ready to talk it through with her.
And maybe Taylor resented her a bit for that. Maybe it was the lack of major reaction to the pivots, that had Taylor doubting herself. Maybe it was the quiet rumbling under her skin when Karlie bent and bent and bent, and didn’t ask for more. Maybe it was the looping self-sabotage of thoughts, “She’s not telling me the whole truth. She hates this. She’s going to leave.” Maybe she started shutting down because of that fear. Maybe it was never Karlie’s fault at all for simply being present, in a way Taylor couldn’t be, when the war hit its peak.
Insert Flashback
*whispers* it’s June 2019
Lmao I haaaate that the last chapter of 113 involved this dress… and not innocently… 🙈
This reminds me of the time I wrote about Kaylor being “forever wedding dates” in a chapter and then shortly after, Karlie posted “forever new years dates” from a wedding with JK.
I know these are just very coincidental but… sometimes I worry 😂😂…
