They understand that every single person plays a part in society—from the kid who sells newspapers on the corner every morning, the bus driver assigned to your route that seems grouchy, but has his reasons, to the woman with the purple hair who feeds the birds at the park every Thursday afternoon. They understand the importance of community and how every person plays a role in keeping society from falling apart. The way you treat others, especially those who are considered to be members on the outskirts of society will make them determine whether or not they want you in their lives. They’re so quick to cut you off if you’re callous and don’t know how to briefly set yourself aside for the greater good because they understand that by oppressing any individual or group of people takes a blow to the collective consciousness and creates social dysfunction. They understand that at the end of the day if they lost everybody they wouldn’t be entirely alone because they have community therefore it's incredibly important to them to contribute in some capacity. They see unification in just about anything.
