Love is the most powerful

of languages

allow its sweetness to

roll off your tongue

let each word kiss the earth

every syllable will

nurture the seed from which

life will grow

form the softest of cradles

with sweat soaked hands

the blanket of dirt, a relief

from the beautiful but

overbearing sun

This will one day be a tree

you must care for it

be tender with it

This will take years to grow

perhaps your whole lifetime

Still, never forget to share

whispers of strength and courage,

for you may not know

who may seek out the shade

from under it one day

Universal White Noise Machine

Folded in a dimension inaccessible to us is a universal white noise machine. It’s a thing that somehow distracts us from some fundamental fact or state of the universe that would be too difficult to overcome with recognition. It’s a thing that establishes the possibility for sanity in the vast unknown. Maybe, just maybe, it is the unknown itself.
