“The 12.004 (La Douce) is a steam locomotive that has traveled around the world four times, affectionately known as "La Douce" by its owner Leon Van Bel. It is inspired by the Atlantic type 12 engine, designed for Belgian railroads in the late 1930s, which was known for its speed and aerodynamic design. One of these locomotives broke the world speed record for steam trains in 1939, reaching 165 km/h. The 12.004 (La Douce) has a rich history and is preserved as a symbol of steam locomotion, featured in a graphic novel and showcased in the Train World museum in Belgium.”
