About the only time someone random is in my dream (not an ideal situation kind of appearance, not an ideal person to dream of) and I see them the very next hour, of course, It’s someone I’d rather not encounter and haven’t for years. Damn holidays.
I’ve also got to convince myself that if I _think_ I see someone I recognize, donutd to dollard it is ___NOT___ going to be them, because when it is actually someone I recognize, it __10000% is them___, and I cannot evade them at all OR I’ve almost stepped on them without noticing*.
Spent countless minutes in my life playing ‘is that them? that’s them. that’s them. Is it them? it’s them.” and no, it never is.
The funniest thing though, I saw someone from a job years and years past, who was retiring THEN, and not only is she alive still but appears quite well. One of the rare instances of seeing someone from an old job I would rather say hello to than avoid, and of course I’m already in a line and she didn’t see me. Ah well. 2021. Don’t care to sort through the chance of seeing if they remember me after 100 years anyway. Some time back I thought an old co-worker in a different job would’ve recognized me and after speaking with them and they had absolutely no idea when and where they knew me from, it was a little deflating YET 90% of the time I wish this upon many other people, so hooray the duality of emotions.
that’s crazy
