Philosophy: Question: How do you think free will works?
Philosophy /////////////////////////////////////////// Question: How do you think free will works? Posted: 10 Mar 2016 09:37 AM PST https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20160310093703AAstMir where does it come from? How are you lead to conclusions about which choice to make? Do you have reasons for choosing things, or do you just choose at random? It seems like millions of things come together in order to form the will of each individual person on the planet. It seems like your personality and preferences and alll manner fo things no one has control over, are what determine how you think, and thus ultimately what you'd choose in any given situation. We are nothing more than delusional electro-chemical robots. Free will can't exist, according to the laws of physics. That is, you cannot get something from nothing, and if choices ...are ours and not the result of anything other than wanting it, then wanting it was caused by nothing. /////////////////////////////////////////// Question: I'm so interested in philosophy, what do I do? Posted: 10 Mar 2016 01:53 AM PST https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20160310015332AAbUlPc Over the last couple of months, I have been REALLY getting into it by so much research and coming up with new beliefs and theories basically. Also listening to speeches and looking up quotes from great philosophers such as Allen Watts, and I don't think I have been more intrigued in anything more in my entire life. What can I do?? Should I start writing these things I think of down? And I know the chances of being a successful philosopher are very slim, but would it be worth trying and if so,what should I start doing? And I'm a 15 year female fyi, if that says anything ;D. /////////////////////////////////////////// Question: All things RISE and FALL!!!? Posted: 09 Mar 2016 06:46 PM PST https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20160309184624AA7WXEB if you are not sensitive enough, it will make you doubt your value, and seek other answers. (if you are lucky, you will find the same old value in the end, but there is a very high chance that you will end up searching your value forever, or end up with dangerous and unsuitable values and suffer most of time). thats why, I think there should be a limit in questioning yourself if you are not sensitive enough and easily 'tempted'. /////////////////////////////////////////// Question: Why is it that all we can prove is our own existence? What do you do? Posted: 09 Mar 2016 01:45 PM PST https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20160309134538AA7gMAd A wealthy, well-respected medical and quantum-mechanical scientist proves the theory that every time you sleep, you die, and a new, slightly different you adopts your dead body and your memories when you wake up. He also comes up with a cure for sleep, and a way to measure your current self against a curve of possible new selves, and provides you with a lifetime supply of the sleep cure and the latest model of his new "self-measuring" device. You use the medication for a while, and you do not experience any negative side effects, but rather feel energized and just as healthy as you've always been, if not slightly more. Confident in the doctor's work, and a bit curious as to how exactly you measure up against your potential selves, you turn on the device. Upon using it, you learn that your current self is ranked significantly below your average self, and that if you choose to sleep again, there is a high likelihood that your new self will be a significant improvement in everything from charm to intelligence, and even drawing and creative writing ability. Do you choose to stop taking the medication and sleep, now fully aware that doing so is essentially committing suicide, or do you continue to stay productive, alive, and awake, knowing that choosing to do so will keep you from ever reaching your full potential? /////////////////////////////////////////// Question: De que habla el capitulo XV "la palabra vana" del libro la amistad de Maurice Blanchot?
