Coffee & Late Night
It's the way he always smiles after he writes her name on the cup, the way they sparkle when she thanks him. It's the way he is stuck in her mind after each visit and how inspiration always strikes, when she's inside the coffee shop.
It's the way he always has a fresh blueberry muffin waiting for to pick up, whenever she craves one. It's also the way he is now walking her home, after she stayed too long and it's time to close.
"What is your biggest wish ?" She asks him and as they talk about love, childhood stories and dreams, as they laugh to tears on this cold winter night, Evie realizes that she's falling deep.
Deeply in love with an artist who goes by Jay
My Fondest Memory
Day Two of @jayviesource‘s 12 Days of Jayvie is a Musical AU
Title: My Fondest Memory Paring: Jayvie Characters: Dizzy, Evie and Jay Warnings: Very very light angst, like barely there. Otherwise just pure fluff and cuteness. Notes: I took inspiration for this little one shot from In a Crowd of Thousands from the musical Anastasia Previous Days: Day One (Lyrics gifset by @ofitzsimmons)
There was something delicious wafting through the air and it was making Dizzy’s mouth water. The young girl stretches and pushes herself away from her desk. A little break from her school work wouldn’t hurt her. Besides she had to find Evie for one assignment and going on a hunt with an empty stomach didn’t sound like any fun.
Wondering into the kitchen she found Jay and Evie standing opposite each other. The blue haired woman with the most mischievous smile on her lips as she reached out with flour covered hands. Jay with an innocent smile on his lips as he takes a step back and away from her.
“Eves, come on, it was an accident,” he tries to placate her, hands raised in defense, with laughter in his voice.
“Uh huh.” Evie’s hands shot out, burying themselves in Jay’s long hair. He squawks indigently as she continues to mess with his hair, the dark strands turning a powdery gray.
Jay surges forward and catches Evie around her waist despite her best attempt to escape. His fingers attack her side, laughing together as Evie tries to wiggle her way out of his hold.
“Jay...stop…” Evie tries between her giggles.
He stops and pulls her closer, resting his forehead against hers while they catch their breaths. It was a cute sight to see as the two adoringly gazed at each other, though frustrating as the pair had yet to actively do anything about the very obvious mutual feelings. It was enough to make a little hopeless romantic sigh.

such a fun and natural sight
Day 4 of @jayviesource’s 12 Days of Jayvie is Artists AU
You can check the previous days here
“A little bit to the left,” His voice was patient as she adjusted her movement, her head tilting slighty to follow his instruction.
“Perfect,” he nodded and Evie did her best not to chuckle. He was being too nice really but she did agree to be his model for his photography project. She didn’t mind posing for him in her leotard and leggings but when he first asked her about being his model, she expected a more… private setting for some reason.
In all honesty, she mostly accepted to help him so she would finally be able to tell him how much she wanted them to be more than friends.
Evie had known Jay for about three years now and had had a crush on him for about the same amount of time. The thing was, she was a flirt and everyone that had ever heard of her on campus knew that. But when it came to Jay, she didn’t know exactly what was preventing her from gathering her courage to simply tell him she wanted them to be more than friends.
Actually, she had tried to be subtle a few times but she had come to realise that Jay was more oblivious than any guy she had ever flirted with. It was a shame really knowing he was as much of a flirt as she was.
“Jay?” She asked softly. She was tired of beating around the bush with him. It was high time he knew how she felt and did something about it (hopefully).
Soothing Shapes
London, 3:58am
They're back in their hideout, back in the safety and comfort of their apartment but neither of them feels like sleeping despite their exhaustion.
They're both laying down, Evie's head resting on his chest,Jay's arms around her.
"I'm lucky to have such a smart partner. Why didn't you tell me you had called backup ?" His fingers gently detangle her hair as he speaks. He can feel her slowly relaxing, as she starts to snuggle more into him.
"I didn't have time to do so. The moment I came out of the restroom they took me away before I could find you." she answers him quietly, drawing nonsensical patterns on his body. He instantly knows that her anxiety levels are rising back up.
That mission was a failure. Probably their biggest to date. Jay knows how much she hates failure and he does his best to soothe her.
"It's okay blueberry. We're safe now. We're home and we're okay." He tells her good things, sweet things. He is not a man of words but for her he will speak as much as possible until the nonsense she's drawing become consistent shapes.
And the best part about it, is that it always works.
Unexpected Love Story
Evie shares a couple classes with Jay at college and he is also a barista at her favorite coffee shop near her shared apartment with Uma and Audrey.
They've been hanging out for quite a while, or Evie would stay in the café until closing time and he would walk her home. Her 2 roommates have been relentlessly asking her questions about who she was with on these evenings where she came back later than usual.
Uma and Audrey finally manages to lure Evie out for a casual night with friends. Jay is also there. When she arrives 2 girls steer Evie towards a boy, she stops dead in her tracks when she sees him.
"I can't do this. My... my ex is here" she blurts out suddenly. It couldn't be further from.the truth and Evie is absolutely mortified when Jay approaches them, concern etched onto his face.
"Hey Evie, I had no idea you would be here too." Bless his heart he has no idea what's going on. The girls seem to buy into the idea that Jay is actually her ex and to Evie's relief they leave her alone with him.
When he asks her if she's okay, Evie doesn't see herself lie to him and she tells him everything.
"I'm sorry, I really have no idea why I said that. I'll go tell them the truth"
Jay grabs her wrist as she turns around. "You don't have to. I mean it's your choice but I don't mind playing along if it helps you avoid a date you don't want to go to."
The night goes on and they set up their fake romance. They met the year prior during their shared classes and Evie had discovered the café and as they hung out, feelings arose and they eventually dated. Until Evie ended things a couple months prior because of an internship abroad she was promised which ended up not happening due to various reasons.
Miraculously, everyone seems to have believed their story. Their mutual friends,Mal and Carlos would always shoot them an apologetic look everytime the two were in the same room when there was a night in or a party.
But those mutual friends were also scheming to "get them back together" unbeknownst to the pair. And it was working. They spent more and more time together and both were falling hard for one another.
It takes a ridiculous amount of time, a warm blueberry muffin and a walk under the Christmas lights for Evie to muster the courage to confess.
And it's worth it because his eyes shine much more than usual when he says he loves her too.
It's not how she expected this to turn out but she's the happiest girl in the world.
and he's the happiest boy there is.
