An Unannounced Guest [with 13-13irthday]
In a deserted hallway in Wammy's House, L momentarily stood straight, lifting his arms above his head to stretch his stiff muscles, resulting in all sorts of cracking and popping noises. It was then that he heard a muffled voice; a male's. But on a Saturday afternoon, all of the children were supposed to be outside, playing, for at least another half-hour. With a slightly furrowed brow, L cocked his head to the side and slipped his hands into his pockets as he slumped forward again and shuffled a few doors down. The door of the room that the (now familiar) voice was coming from was ever so slightly ajar. The detective could have sworn he heard the word "baby", and then stuck his foot out to push the door open.
L leaned forward, peering into his successor's room. The teen was facing away, but a bundle of something could be seen in his arms from behind. "B... playing house now, are we?" L couldn't judge the young man on whatever it was he was doing, not with his own lifestyle. But still...
