I did actually grab the first episode of the Madoka recap movie TV recut thing. Didn't watch it in full, just sort of did a skim through a few different points to gauge my own interest, see what to expect. Episodes 1 and 2 of the original show are like super spliced together here to fit a 23 or so minute runtime, so we've got even more cut out than the movies themselves did, at least if I remember correctly. That alone already tells me this is gonna be the worst way to watch the series so yk, we'll say my interest has ended there. In the first place this isn't subbed and I already watched Madoka raw and it was an interesting test of just my rote memorisation of the script, but it's not something I'm eager to do again, so.

Wild to me that I can watch a seasonal anime and hear SU-METAL singing in the OP. Anyway uh, it's back. Not with much of a bang at all. Continues from exactly where it left off and it still looks kind of like shit. There are some okay drawings in this episode but by and large nothing's really impressive and your motion is very limited. I barely remember the plot at this point and completely forgot just how many characters this show has, so really I'm here for the visuals which just aren't good and for the seiyuu, and hey at least I can count on them to give me something to enjoy. I mean this'll be a dose of Aoi Yuuki hopefully weekly like I'm here for it. Also noticed Child Emperor being voiced by the lady who voices Yaiba since that voice was just on my mind every week for half a year. Neat. Don't think I have much else to say really. Can't guarantee I'm even gonna finish this but I'll at least try.
