For @thedrabblecollective's November challenge prompt 13: 'fog', a Bering and Wells double drabble for @viharistenno :) I hope you like it!
light angst, happy ending, rated G, no warnings apply
Myka stares into the fog that has inexplicably risen up from the warehouse floor.
Well, she is pretty sure an artifact is the cause, and usually she wouldn't be too freaked out by something warehousey happening in the warehouse, but she has lost sight of Helena right after the mist has obscured the hallway and the artifacts on the shelves in front of her...
Which artifact has activated, and what has it done to Helena?
- a loud clang, a shout, and suddenly the fog lifts as quickly as it had come.
"I'm never trusting the logs on artifact positions and interactions ever again!" Helena curses and rubs her shoulder, pushing a box back onto a shelf. "One has to do everything thems-oof! Myka?"
Myka has crashed into her as soon as the artifact had been safely stored away, hugging Helena tightly. "You're alright!"
Helena gently pats her back. "Indeed, I'm quite alright, darling. No need to worry."
Caught out, Myka turns away, busies herself pushing an inventory card slightly to the left.
"Oh, Darling, I didn't mean to embarrass you." Helena wraps her arms around Myka from behind. "I am honored that you care for me so, my darling Myka."
