Target Audience

After finishing Mr Rubem's class, I once again browsed and surveyed the PPT and the resources provided, and found some convenient tools and methods. Combining the briefing documents of the museum and the introduction of the person in charge, I divided the target people into four categories. They are family, School groups (particular KS2 & KS3), Independent learners, Cafe visitors. I analyzed their different needs and made different considerations and designs based on these needs.

Firstly, Family-oriented groups are common in the museum, including parents and children, who will relax and work in the space. Secondly, The student group is mainly 5-12 years old. They need to come to this space more to learn and communicate, so it is possible to use this space for science popularization of children.

Besides, Independent learners and workers, they need this space to provide a pleasant office environment, where they can enjoy one's work time while resting, and they need this space not too noisy. Therefore, the choice of music should be a relatively quiet and soothing soundtrack to make the overall atmosphere more comfortable.

Last but not least, Most cafe visitors are older people. They like to enjoy their little gathering time and talk with friends here, so they also need a relatively quiet environment, so the background design of the space should not be too loud.
