My mom cooked me breakfast for my birthday. It's a simple meal but it means so much. I remember spending my 10th birthday alone because both my parents were actively addicted to drugs. The black and white picture of me when I was 17 at the beginning of my senior year. At the time, I was living with another family because my mother was still using drugs. She wasn't at my graduation because of the same stuff. Today, 14 years later, She gave me a VERY nice card, $31 (because that is what you do when someone turns 31), a meal, and a loving relationship that I desired for all those years. The Kyle in that picture prayed for what the Kyle behind the camera is experiencing. I don't think she will ever understand the power behind this very moment. #Redemption #Reconciliation #JesusRestores #BirthdayBehavior #ThanksMom #13YearsClean
