welche genau war die erste der vielen tausend sommerblumen,
die die hübsche, fleißige sah,
als sie nach dem sprung in den brunnen aus der ohnmacht erwacht ihre augen öffnete?
Recently I decided to subscribe to r/HollowKnight and the amount of random fuckos that make dumb posts about how the story being difficult to piece together is a “problem” annoys the fuck out of me. Is it so wrong to tell a story unconventionally? Go watch Mossbag if you’re that desperate to know. I couldn’t piece together the story for shit on my first playthrough but that’s literally because I wasn’t thinking about it enough, that’s not a problem with the game that’s a problem with me.

Feeling really under the weather today :( I think I might get a fever soon🤒. Really wanted to study and finish up the things i planned to do today😔 but I'm taking a nap now and not pushing my body to its limits before I feel worse🤧
Fire Force episode 2 was pretty great, there’s quite a bit to talk about.
This episode introduces us to two new characters. Firstly we’ve got Arthur, a dude from the same academy as Shinra who wields a fire sword called Excalibur and calls himself a knight-king. He and Shinra don’t really get along but there’s a scene near the end where they do so I guess their relationship is a bit like a sibling relationship. He’s pretty cool, not got too much going on right now but they give us enough intrigue with him to where I’m happy he’s here. Near enough his introduction we’re given the difference between 2nd and 3rd generation pyromancers (does the show call them that? I can’t remember) and it’s that 2nd generations can’t just magically ignite things and need a fire-starter to use their powers, or just use other fire, meanwhile 3rd generations can just magically ignite their respective fire-based thing. I’m pretty sure the Infernals themselves were established as the 1st generations and they’re bad so.
The second character is a villain, one who’s immediately shaking up the status quo. Granted we’ve only had 1 episode to establish the status quo and with Shinra’s backstory involving a weird spooky infernal, the status quo isn’t even entirely clear, but maybe that spooky infernal relates to this new dude. This new dude throws ash everywhere it seems, possibly even creates Infernals, though the Infernal we “fight” in this episode is completely docile. Curious. Also this new villain is voiced by Kenjiro Tsuda I could immediately tell and Christ he’s voicing a lot this season.
They do a reveal about the sort of “exorcism” nature of the Infernal killings as well. When firefighters go to lay Infernals to rest, they’re not allowed to let the public know they bring weapons, because again, the idea is that the Infernals are being laid to rest. I imagine the public can guess it’s not a completely peaceful process but I guess the knowledge that they’re effectively just killing people who have no hope of recovery at that point would fuck with them. This does give credence to the idea that all these firefighter church places could be hiding more secrets we don’t know about, who knows. The religious iconography in this world is fascinating.
And just for stray thoughts, this episode wasn’t as visually impressive as the first one, but that’s pretty much entirely because there were no big sakuga shots like in last episode - this episode still looks great. Also Aoi Yuuki’s character still hasn’t appeared even though MAL lists her as a main character and boy am I excited to see her.
So yeah, solid episode, excited for the rest, etc.
I'm gonna start my Steel Soul playthrough, somehow I've played through Hollow Knight like 3 times and none of them have been Steel Soul.
Fuck even r/MadokaMagica isn’t a stranger to annoying content, every other post is “I just finished Rebellion and what was that!?”
