I think cp’s fans were very very respectful up until the last month or so when they finally got fed up with such little content of cp while having so much content of everyone else tbh. Clearly acfc was waiting until media day and the jersey release to start releasing press content. I’m sure it really helped drive up sales $$ although I don’t know if it’s necessary since her jersey would’ve sold out either way lol.
For Tobin - I genuinely never see that many toxic comments, at least on arsenals Instagram. Tobin will have a really good game and then people will demand that she should be a starter. That’s about as far as it goes. There’s just questions from time to time from her fans asking why she’s not starting. I think it’s harmless. It’s most likely young fans who don’t understand why it’s not necessary for an injury prone 33 year old to be playing so many minutes on a stacked team. I know they just want to see her playing more and I think she will when she’s on a team that needs her a bit more. Jonas and Tim both said that when she signed she wasn’t really necessary for the team since they didn’t need another forward but they signed her anyways because she’s Tobin freakin Heath. I think that really explains the super sub thing. It’s also why I think the situation will be very very different when she’s back in the nwsl. Acfc does not have the same depth in their bench like Arsenal does
