A PBY-5a Catalina in her natural habitat, soaring gracefully above the water. When I heard that Miss Pick Up (G-PBYA) was going to be displaying at Weston Air Festival, there was one shot that I knew I wanted to get. Even if I didn't get any other usable shots, I wanted to come home with a shot like this! (at Weston-super-Mare)
Another wide shot of PBY-5a "Miss Pick Up", just as she's beginning to stretch her legs, coming around for her first gear down pass. Such a graceful, slow paced display from such a gorgeous aircraft, the last time I saw her was at Sywell Airshow in 2014, but I can't wait to see her again now! (at Weston-super-Mare)

The Blades Aerobatic Team overhead, running in for their display at Weston Air Festival (still think Weston Super Air would be a better name!). I’m really happy with how this photo came out, especially given I was nearly falling over backwards at this point!
It was amazing to see my (formerly) local display team perform fairly close to where I’m living at the moment. I haven’t seen them display fully for a while now (only seen practice formations when I’ve visited family in Northampton) and it’s nice to see they still never fail to impress!

Airbus Beluga 1 (F-GSTA) spotted over Chester Zoo on 31st May One of these flew over on the drive into Chester, I was gutted that I wasn't able to get a picture, but someone obviously heard my sorrows and sent another right over the zoo later in the day!
