An Open Letter to the Labor of my Love that I Gave Away

When I first found out about you, i was terrified, I was anything but prepared for you! I couldn’t do this on my own, but I had to, I was all alone in this cruel world. So I started reading. Anything that could help me with you I became a master on. As the time drew nearer I knew I would have to give you away, but I wasn’t ready. The due date was too soon! I became stressed, I stayed up late worrying about you; it was detrimental to both of us. Now that I am giving you away I can breathe a sigh of relief. 

Today I will turn you over to someone new.

Today I will be free of your burden.

Today I will place my fate in you.

My fifteen page research paper is finally complete. All that sleep lost, all those hours cursing at my computer, all that time reading abstracts and now I’m free.
