15th day
This is the day that I should have been out cheering. But I am not sure when that day will come. In the meantime I think my mental state is deteriorating as I tried to write a note with the thermometer. I am taking part in a daily survey of health for the Weizman Institute.
But one thing I learned last night is that one has to be very careful with this zoom. I thought we had finished our session so went to change into what passes by me for a night gown. It used to be a shirt but somehow with each washing got longer and longer. Anyhow I thought we had finished and did not close it and wandered back into the room to the tv chair where it is easier for me to get dressed…..absolutely kaal as the day I was born with some additions of course and suddenly I saw Amy and Jared had come on. I don’t think I have ever turned around and ran so quickly since my operation.
That I wrote last night but I was so thrilled this morning when I got up and one of the first things I saw….I always put the phone on airplane at night …was a message from Jayna and we had a long talk so now I know more of her doings. Jayna is my nephew’s Arthur and Sheryl’s daughter and we are going to try to make a seder together. I said to her that at night when she is awake she can always phone me as wake up early.
I have started watching Orthodox….well listening the way this girl is being prepped for her wedding I started laughing. The woman sounded as if she was using waze to tell her how to get there. I thought it excellent also to get some idea of their mindset. I don’t want to say too much so as to spoil it for others but would be glad to here other thoughts on the subject. I have heard some really awful stories from doctor friends over the years. One couple had been trying to do it through the anus. Another had no idea whatsoever for three years. I am reminded of an old film about two young people who were stranded on a desert island alone and somehow got the idea. But then they did not have all the forbidden areas which were not to be touched under threat of the fires of hell. The Blue Lagoon I think it was called.
Which brings me to another thought. All this emphasis on not touching your face. Remember when we were told that we should not “touch ourselves” to put it politely. And that those areas were always to be covered? Well what if in 100 years time this is reversed and the face becomes the forbidden territory and the other areas are exposed and only the face is covered. And history forgets how this came about?
- Ultra-Orthodox patients make up around half the coronavirus patients being treated in various major hospitals around the country, according to unofficial figures cited by the two leading Israeli news channels on Sunday and they still keep on going against the rules. Even now we suffer from them
Some of you have asked about South Africa. This is what I saw reported in an article by Judy Malta.
As of Tuesday, there were a total of 1,686 confirmed cases in the entire country and 12 deaths.
Ok so now I learned to do Zoom and today a friend showed me how to do a video on whatsapp with a few other friends. I also had a thought and phoned my Spanish teacher that we should maybe read a part of the book that we are reading for about and hour and then it would be like she was giving a lesson. I didn’t find it very exciting today so I put on some music and walked to that.
The zomba today was so boring that I took an idea from something Cynthia sent me and put on music to walk to or to dance to. I am trying each day to keep up with the walking and won’t report on that anymore as I don’t do less than five kilometer a day.
Whenever I hear them speaking about getting back to normal starting with the young and then at the last to the older people I wonder if they realise that those of us who are alone may well be driven to suicide from the loneliness, from being kept in one place, from never seeing a living face or speaking to someone not through the phone. Maybe they think they can get rid of us that way. Sometimes my neighbor who lives down the corridor opens her door and we speak but she seems worried that that is also forbidden though why it should be seeing we do not leave our rooms or touch anything I do not know. My opposite neighbor is evidently terrified and the one on the other side of me died. And down the corridor is a new lady with whom I had no contact. I think that if after Peisach there are no new cases here they will have think of ways of letter us out of here. I just had a mask and two gloves delivered. When I hear of what is happening in other homes I thank God that I am here.
They just brought our food for the holiday. Enough for the whole week and beyond. We also had a lovely zoom seder, Jayna and Glenn set it up and kol hakavod to Jayna who phoned me in the morning to suggest it and Glenn for leading us thorough it. Charles joined us sitting at his desk, the Arthur and family joined us, Shirley and family and it really sent me to bed with a good feeling and then Amy and Jared and afterwards Daphne’s neighbours and it was so gesellig. I know Veronica also did it with family and Uta and Ayal joined in and it was the first time Uta had seen the word “unleavened” which sent me to google which says it is symbolic of to do in haste but that in exodus God gave them good warning.
I just finished half an hour with my Spanish teacher. We will do half an hour each day.
Later we got gloves and a mask for anyone who was going to join another neighbor
Good morning until tomorrow
Tarot del Fuego by Spanish artist Ricardo Cavolo
As a master manifestor, the Magician brings you the tools, resources and energy you need to make your dreams come true. Seriously, everything you need right now is at your fingertips. You have the spiritual (fire), physical (earth), mental (air) and emotional (water) resources to manifest your desires. And when you combine them with the energy of the spiritual and earthly realms, you will become a manifestation powerhouse! The key is to bring these tools together synergistically so that the impact of what you create is greater than the separate parts. This is alchemy at its best!
Now is the perfect time to move forward on an idea that you recently conceived. The seed of potential has sprouted, and you are being called to take action and bring your intention to fruition. The skills, knowledge and capabilities you have gathered along your life path have led you to where you are now, and whether or not you know it, you are ready to turn your ideas into reality.
In your quest to manifest your goals, you must establish a clear vision of what you will create (and why) before you act. It is not enough to be motivated by ego (money, status, or fame) – you need to have a soul connection to your goals and intentions. You are a powerful, creative being, and this is your opportunity to bring your Higher Self in alignment with your day-to-day actions to create the future you want most.
When you are clear about your ‘what’ and your ‘why’, the Magician calls on you to take inspired action. You will need focused attention and intense concentration to bring your goals to fruition. Focus on the ONE thing that will move you towards your goal. Commitment to the task is essential, so drop any distractions that may draw your focus away from what you want to achieve. Be methodical in your planning to make sure that you stay on track and carry out your tasks.

THE 7 TIPS ON WHEN TO GO FULL TIME
In this video, patrick bet-david talked about when people think about somebody becoming an entrepreneur they think about, day one they had a job, day two they quit their job, day three they started a business, as if it just happens in three days. But it doesn't happen that way. Most people start their business part time or they had a phase where they transitioned into going full time.
However, he talk about seven items to think about when going full-time as an entrepreneur:
1) A Proven Track Record of Selling a Product. 2) Your Business Revenues Cover Your Monthly Expenses. 3) Having Six Months of Expenses Covered. 4) Whether You’re Married or Single, You Need This On. 5) Timing. 6) Guts. 7) Talking About it With Your Family.

M&S criticised for ditching antisocial hours pay to offset wage rise
In "The guardian" blog, they talk about the retailer plans to boost basic pay by 15% but those who earned premiums after 6pm, on Sundays and bank holidays will lose out. Marks & Spencer has been criticised for cutting the pay of approximately 10% of its shop-floor workers by removing premiums for working Sundays and antisocial hours and trimming back bank holiday payments. The retailer plans to increase basic pay for its 69,000 shop-floor workers by 15% from next April to £8.50 an hour but has offset the cost of doing so by cutting special pay rates.
Major retailers including Tesco, Morrisons and B&Q have faced protests over implementing cuts to benefits alongside increases in basic pay. McDonagh is campaigning to persuade the government to prevent such changes by, for example, insisting that staff are paid for the legally required 20-minute break in a six-hour shift.
