16.8.2014: Week 7, Day 4

On paper, this session doesn't look bad. In fact, it looks pretty good. However there were several issues. First, I kept forgetting about my feet on the power snatches. Any time that I happened, I added a set on to get it right. Then my power jerks all sucked. The one I missed at 70 was a miss only because I fucking push pressed it instead of jerking (but I couldn't push press 70 earlier this week??). I was having so much trouble getting under the bar. Then on my snatch balances I jumped up to the prescribed weight too quickly and had *the worst* bail of life. I couldn't lock out so the bar fell onto my traps, then off onto the back of my ankle after I had dived forward. It was so embarrassing and painful. I'm fine, though. Just a bruised ego. 

Also, like, where the hell did the snatch balance even come from? It hasn't been programmed all cycle and the website gave no indication of which percentages to use. It just said 70%, 75%, but of what? So I used my new predicted snatch max. Seemed heavy enough. On the plus side, my snatch bottom position is looking fantastic.

Holy shucks

Guardians of the Galaxy freaking rocked

okay so I left my house and started walking to Westfield (I felt like I needed the exercise bc I'm getting fatter) and I didn't know how long it would take me to walk there, so I left at 10:05am. We were gonna meet up at 11:30. It took me a while to find an umbrella though.

I've discovered that it took me 40 minutes to walk there. I kinda ended up being an hour and 25 mins early (I dunno I can't be bothered doing math).

I waited in the lobby area for a while like 20 minutes of sitting there looking like the loser I am until I decided to go check out JB HiFi and got back there at 11:10. I sat back in the same spot until she arrived. 

She came in her dark blue stockings, short black shorts, awesome black boots and cool as black knitted jumper she looked fantabulous as always She told me that she sent me emails, but since I had already left I couldn't check it. I've checked them and she sounds like a concerned mum. First email was her being concerned about me in the rain. What a babe.

she bought our tickets (she said she didn't mind paying for me and it was a gift) and our seats were in the very back in the very centre in the big theatre. The session started at 1:20, so we went down and checked out JB Hi-Fi. (I didn't care if I was checking it again. I would honestly do anything for her.) Then we looked at QBD Bookstore and went to the foodcourt to get McDonald's. We got cheeseburger meals, shared the fries. She got Coke and I had Sprite. Discovered she doesn't like pickles. I love pickles so that worked out fine.

I felt sorta bad because I didn't want to seem like I was scabbing off her since I'm poor and I have no money, but she said she really didn't mind paying and this whole day with me was her gift.

We went back to the cinema and got in our seats. There were 16 booked seats, but around 40 people were there. The theatre was really empty. 

The trailer for Big Hero 6 played. I can't believe that I've memorised the lines.

We were nudging each other almost every time Lee Pace came on bc I showed her Pushing Daisies and now we both kinda have a crush on darn Pee shoeLace

I shared some of my strawberry flavoured Oreos with her, so that helped me feel less guilty about her paying everything for me. 

During the credits most of the audience left haha weenies and my friend and I quietly laughed at them because they wouldn't see the end scene. Only five other people stayed behind (not including the cleaning employee)

We waited outside for her mum to pick her up. It was still raining. She told me after she watched the movie (the first time. Today was her second) she wanted "I am Groot" on the back of her senior jersey. I want "I am Rocket" to match, but I'm not sure if they'll allow that many characters. If "I am Rocket" is too many, I'll just shorten it to Rocket. But I'd much rather prefer if I could have it.  

It's perfect because it'll be a reference and she's really tall and I'm the short one. We have a large height difference.

Her mum picked her up and they dropped me off home because it was still raining. It's still raining now.

Today was really awesome. I really hope that we can hang out again sometime, because today was just really really nice.
