She laughed at his last text messages, it seems time didn’t change the relationship she had grew to have with the idol. If anything the distance and time between them only solidified their relationship. As she thought of what to text him back, an idea struck her mind; the brunette scrolled through her contacts and click on his named ‘long hair oppa’ reading his name made her stiff a laugh. She would never show it to him but before they were close she only remembered him because of his long hair.
Spencer made a mental note to change it to “Doppa’ later on, but as the iphone begun to make a familiar noise her focus turned to the screen. “Hey you, i thought we can do this since it’s been a while and someone left their child at home.” she joked.

late night self reflective asks 🌙
Status: Not accepting!Received from @160691
galaxies: what are three things you want to do before you die?
It is answered here!
waxing: what is your proudest accomplishment?
Her proudest accomplishment has yet to come, she believes. Digging through the memories, perhaps there would be one fitting to the title? Perhaps the simplest task of making it, of succeeding, despite the degree and the nature of the challenges she faced? Maybe it’s the idea itself? Something that made and still makes her proud to this day? Seoah can’t really tell which is better.
❝ Shinwoo-ssi. ❞ She calls him out of the blue after she snaps out from her pensive self. ❝ What do you think will be the proudest accomplishment for an artist such as you and me? ❞ The soloist didn’t mean to throw the question back at him, but the answer lies somewhere. Precisely somewhere they both can reach in the back of their mind.
It is by their own experiences, going through a path with several detours, but still leading to the same end. Of course, it isn’t the end for what Seoah envisions, but they were several ends needed to get closer to the bigger image. Her trainee days were long behind her and her rookie ones were following them closely. Nonetheless, it doesn’t mean she’s closer to what she believes to be the ultimate accomplishment that deserves the addition of proudest beside it.
But let’s not think about a distant future. There are still a lot more to do before that.
❝ Surely you ask thinking my answer will differ from yours. ❞ Her voice’s soothing, not particularly affected by their casual conversation taking a more abstract and profound subject. ❝ But I seriously doubt that. ❞
And she smiles. ❝ Our proudest accomplishment must be to have made our dream come true, as corny as it may sound. I doubt anything else can beat that too. ❞ Her white pearls reveal themselves more and more, hinting a playful demeanor that only calls for a bit of entertainment coming from the other.
❝ Can you think of anything else? ❞
waning: what is your biggest regret?
Her question meets another, a move she didn’t predict would return to her like a boomerang. The opposite needs to be asked, isn’t it? It seems fair.
❝ Regret… ❞ She has plenty, plenty she wishes not to recall for the sake of her weak heart, and plenty more she has forgotten since the mind accepted to throw them into an abyss. They can take many forms and link to many elements of her life as well, not just romance. Of course, she would avoid the topic of love whenever her answers were meant to be published to the public. Not that she wouldn’t speak about it. Seoah prefers a clean cut when it comes to preserving her privacy.
If she has to answer the question, her current biggest regret lies in her career. An agglomeration of short instances when she shouldn’t feel sorry for herself and indefinite periods of self-questioning. All those years spent chasing after her dream shouldn’t be meaningless. All those hard work during trainee days resulting in a promised yet risky debut among hundreds of rookies shouldn’t come in vain.
Somehow, it feels like it.
❝ Have you ever felt like you haven’t gotten the opportunity to show your full potential? Not that you’re scared or unprepared for it, but that you weren’t given the right setting for it? ❞ She wants to know. Is she the only one to feel that way? Possibly not. They were many rookies out there deserving the acknowledgment from the public, but sadly, in the entertainment and music field, talent and hard work aren’t the only factors for success. There’s luck involved.
If only Seoah doesn’t have this impression of her efforts being wasted or ignored. If only.
It’s okay. She’ll still work for the day the respect she longs for will be given to her rightfully.
full moon: what type of person do you hope to be?
❝ Shinwoo Oppa. ❞ This time she calls him differently, her eyebrow raised while her cheek rests on her fist. ❝ I thought you weren’t the type to ask questions. ❞ A chuckle follows her words and then a hum as thoughts seem to run through her mind in search of an answer.
What type of person does she hope to be? Definitely not what she was despite learning through her mistakes and maturing from them as well. The current her seems content to not have stayed what she used to be: somewhat of a character deemed too naive for this kind of world. However, that naivety remains the force that made her who she is now. She has learned the hardships of running after her dreams, of being disappointed more than once as her expectations were simply distortions of her isolated world, not quite on par with the reality she lives in.
So now, what type of person does she view herself becoming? The question aims for a future she can only judge as distant, too far to her liking, and perhaps too soon to guess. Her words aren’t definite though. Whatever the answer she’ll deliver has a chance to be different later on.
Then, what’s the point for her to answer? Setting a particular mindset from the start in order to guide herself towards that ideal image of herself, which she deems suiting, but only time will know for sure.
❝ Someone who doesn’t forget about her past. ❞ Her words came like a murmur. ❝ Someone who learns from their past mistakes, who knows that many others will come, but won’t back away out of vulnerability or humiliation. Someone who is wise enough to know herself well, but also others. Someone who is warm. I think you get the idea. ❞
Seoah then tilts her head a bit in order to catch a glance of him. ❝ I believe that’s a realistic view to go for. Isn’t it? ❞
ponder: what do you want to do with your life?
It is answered here!
sweet dreams: are you happy?
❝ Hm? ❞ She’s impressed by the older one. Surprised even, since the male isn’t much of a talker from his demeanor, but she can’t blame one from being curious or even initiating a conversation based on questions. ❝ Are you worried about me because we talked about regrets earlier? ❞
He shouldn’t be if that’s the case. It’s true that she didn’t really answer his question earlier. She wasn’t explicit to the regret she feels lately, but it’s not like it wouldn’t fade sooner or later. Regret is an emotion and just like it, it is temporary.
❝ I’m fine. I’m happy actually. ❞ She nods and even showcases a smile. She just has to focus on the positive side. She’s living her dream, isn’t it? She’s making music, music that has her own flavor. She would be grateful for just that. Living, breathing, doing what she loved and working hard for accomplishments she wished to obtain.
No need to seek another kind of happiness. Not now at least.

❝ Did I ever tell you I got a thing for brunettes? ❞
ᴛᴀɴɢʟᴇᴅ ꜱᴇɴᴛᴇɴᴄᴇ ᴍᴇᴍᴇ.
The feeling of fingers carding through her hair was motivation for the astronomer to halt her slumber; the question stirs movement in her body as she turns to look at her fiancé. As her eyes open, she sees him smiling at her, amused with his question. Ahreum mumbles in acknowledgement, giving her body time to wake up and allow her vocal cords to emit a proper response. She shuffles her body even closer to Dongwoo’s, maneuvering her position to comfortably rest her forehead against his. A light chuckle with a small whisper is the second response, preceded by a sleepy kiss.
“You may have mentioned it once or twice~ Did I ever tell you I got a thing for musicians?”
The wailing child stumbles through a busy intersection comprised of tourists and the occasional vehicle weaving past the cohort of consumers in Myeong-dong; the shopping district was appropriate for families, albeit not for the lost child staggering aimlessly with swollen eyes and a parched throat; neither the employees nor their patrons yield to the crying toddler, but not everyone feigns ignorance to the girl. Two men would come to the rescue of the princess swallowed in the crowd, both renowned for their talent and adoration for children respectively.
Her distant pleas are processed by the brunet occupying himself with skincare, abandoning his basket filled with meticulously perused products to follow the sounds derived from the little girl. Dong-woo pinches the fabric at his chin to pry away the mask when she’s within reach, calling out towards the erratic child to grab her attention. He crouches at eye level and opens his arms. Her waddling ceases before another individual expressing mutual concern, glancing between Dong-woo and the stranger aloft; she wipes at her eyes and sniffles, shying away from the loving hands reaching to help, incidentally bumping into the man behind her. Dong-woo stands erect and mirrors the child, looking at the man closest to her; contrary to the toddler, he recognized the familiar face. ❝ …Yong-guk hyung? ❞
(Book: The Voices of Heaven by Maija Rhee Devine, page 174.)
Hyung, you’re acting like a soon-to-be mother who’s hormone levels are raging and motherly instinct is in full swing. Yongguk heard that line more than he could count at that point, always and without exceptions whenever a child of any age (the smaller, the more intense the teasing) was somewhere in his surroundings and he betrayed any kind of reaction to it. It was an ongoing joke, both with his family, closer and farther friends; but a joke that, in its core, was as truthful as possible. Teasing or not, Yongguk had enough self-awareness to not negate the charges -- he was a bit whipped when it came to children, indeed.
It might have not been motherly per se, as he lacked biologically and more for that, but it was an instinct all the same when he heard the child’s wailing and desperate calls for help. (It was for mom, actually, but everybody knew that until you pass the 12 year old threshold, “mom” is a synonym of “help”.) Locating the tiny albeit loud mess of a human was relatively easy, even in the crowd, and he could only sincerely hope that the kid’s mother was as attentive as Yongguk himself -- because the realistic part of himself knew that the answer could go both ways.
It was in that moment, that the day decided to become a mess of tangled coincidences.
“Oh. Dongwoo.” Yongguk never really knew how it worked: he met plenty of people every day, both old and new, which resulted in his head storing all these names and connections, and it never -- quite literally never -- failed to find the right face, name and relation in approximately 0.5 seconds upon meeting. He gave a small nod of greeting to the male and shifted his attention back to the source of the ruckus: all wet face, confused eyes and unhappiness written all over her face. Behind all the snot, it was a cute kid, no doubt, but right now, she looked all kinds of miserable.
“What do we have here... Little lady in distress? Sounds like a job for a knight in a shining armor.” He said, the tone of his voice instantly changing to one that was so very obviously children-friendly, all practised and tested on multiple subjects before the mysterious girl. It was also one of the times when his awkward, wide, gum-showing smile came in handy -- it seemed to speak to children on a spiritual level, usually reminding them of this or that cartoon character that Yongguk had no clue about in 98% of cases.
random sentence starters@160691 / / status: accepting!
unbound minutes stretch endlessly, the empty parking lot gravitating towards a different plane of existence, one which he dreads: that of waiting, of boredom, of hollow seconds which seem to stagnate. a resounding sigh and he’s lifting his head up at the sky, a thin cloak of clouds blocking the clear, crisp blue he has woken up to in the morning. there’s no crack for the sunlight to pierce through, yet its warmth can still be felt, sticking the guitarist’s t-shirt to his skin. the signs, silent and subtle, foretell of an incoming storm.
seated on the ground, back glued to the walls of the supermarket, jae is killing time by doing nothing while waiting for his band mate to come through with the shopping. monthly supplies of food for the dorm, hardly a task to keep him rooted in the moment. he has chosen to remain behind, guard the van (although the manager, brooding and his thick forehead covered in sweat, is enough to see that this objective won’t be impended) and silently mull over the lack of human presence at this full hour of the noon.
have they all felt the storm? the streets have been scarcely paced the whole morning, as if the entire population of seoul had known of the imminent event, all except him. ah, it’s not like you should always trust the weather forecast. it changes daily, even hourly.
it’s the piercing guitar riffs which hurl him back into reality, the name popping up on his mobile screen slowly processed in the first few seconds while he’s regaining his hold on the palpable world. he’s squinting his eyes, scanning the characters with peculiar confusion. it is too late to react, that another remark, that of a voice nearby once again tugs at jae’s slow thought-process. “ah, you do?” he looks up. he might have seen the guy somewhere — he can’t really recall right now. “good to know someone else knows this song. but don’t be too quick to judge, it’s just one out of the many i have in here.”

42 Character Development Questions!
PHYSICAL PRESENCE AND GESTURE.
1. How do they move and carry themselves? Pace, rhythm, gestures, energy?
☆┆ Ahreum moves smoothly, and swiftly. Almost feather-like. She’s used to being quiet and moving silently, which means she often doesn’t realize when she’s walking like that, which… often results in her accidentally scaring people upon her entrance to a room.
2. How much physical space do they use, active and at rest?
☆┆ Not much, both active and at rest. I don’t.. actually know how to explain it.
3. How do they position themselves in a group? Do they like to be the center of attention, or do they hang back at the edges of a crowd?
☆┆ Ahreum has never liked to be the center of attention; she usually hangs out at the back or at the edge of a crowd. If a crowd is present, she sections herself off, usually only socializing with one person at a time. If there are too many people in a room, she’ll become quiet, and often act like a ghost– she won’t speak.
4. What is their size and build? How does it influence how they use their body, if it does?
☆┆ Ahreum is slim and moderately strong for her size, which doesn’t necessarily influence what she does.
5. How do they dress? What styles, colors, accessories, and other possessions do they favor? Why?
☆┆ Ahreum dresses somewhere between casually and sophisticated. On certain occasions that require either one or the other, she shall dress for said occasion, but when she’s relaxed and no certain dress code is required, she’ll dress casually or a sophisticated-casual. She’s not necessarily picky about colors, and she’s not picky about styles, either. She does have an accessory she favors, which is a bracelet and necklace set that she received after her mother’s funeral. She never wears the set, however, because it’s too valuable for her to put at risk of breaking.
6. What are they like in motion–in different environments, and in different activities?
☆┆ Again, it depends on the amount of people and who she’s surrounded by. She usually moves quiet and reserved-like; having small, quick steps. Though in small, small crowds or outdoors when she has more room to move around, one can notice she moves with slightly larger steps. The larger space outside, paired with her love of nature releases a more relaxed state within her, and her steps loosen slightly. At home and outside are the only two places where her steps are free and larger. (Though while at home, when she’s feeling bright and energetic, she’ll often slide around in her socks and/or slippers, taking large strides and sliding around the apartment.)
7. How do they physically engage with other people, inanimate objects, and their environment? What causes the differences between these?
☆┆ I haven’t thought about this before, so this question will be a bit harder to answer. I feel like the answer is similar to the other environment type questions-. With friends and family, she’s close with them and she’ll often hug them and interact closely with them, though with strangers or acquaintances, she keeps her distance. She’s a very reserved person to strangers/acquaintances, but with close friends and family members, she’s more open. With inanimate objects, I… don’t really know? I haven’t thought about this stuff and I don’t necessarily understand the meaning of the question, so… Hooonestly IDK–
8. Where and when do they seem most and least at ease? Why? How can you tell?
☆┆ Again, similar to the other environment type questions, really. She’s most at ease when she’s at home alone with Dongwoo, or outside in nature or the more open areas of the outdoors. She’s the least at ease in large crowds or tight spaces. I’m still not sure of why, because I haven’t thought that much in-depth, but she gets uncomfortable in smaller, tighter spaces, which ties in to why she’s more comfortable and at ease with the openness of the outdoors and the private spaces of Ahwoo’s apartment. The two main ways you can tell how she’s feeling (if she’s at ease or not at ease) are her movements, paired with her speech. If she’s uncomfortable or not at ease, she won’t move much– she’ll stay in one area and won’t move, and she’ll also be very quiet and curt. If she’s comfortable, however, she’ll move more freely and her speech and choice of words will be brighter– audibly happier, tone and all. Sometimes, however, there will be a mixture of the two. She’ll not move much, but she’ll be talking as if she’s happy and bright. And when that happens, it means she is content and happy, she just doesn’t really want to move much– LOL.
9. How do they manifest energy, exhaustion, tension, or other strong emotions?
☆┆ Energy: She’ll manifest and use her energy through a variety of ways, usually going for a jog or cleaning the apartment. Basically she shows and uses her energy the same way a lot of people do– I.. don’t know how to explain that? The thought’s never occurred to me. Exhaustion: You can see she’s exhausted by her slowed movements, or her slightly slurred speech, as well as if her eyes are nearly closed. When she’s exhausted, she’ll care less about her speech or movements and more on finding an area to rest or lay her head. Tension: Short, small movements. The same when she’s not comfortable, or if she’s not at ease. I can’t say anything for other strong emotions because I feel like I can answer that more clearly if I have an idea of what emotion someone wants me to use for the question. …Did that make sense?
10. What energizes and drains them most?
☆┆ Energizes: Coffee. That seems like the obvious answer, but it works well for Ahreum. Coffee works wonders for her energy levels. As well as keeping up movements. When she has the slightest bit of growing energy, if she continues to move around or find something to do, like jogging or cleaning, her energy will rise until it suddenly drops to tiredness or exhaustion. Drains: Reading drains the astronomer a lot– reading her work over and over and having to use her eyes to focus on things. Her eyes will become tired and eventually she’ll become drained. Long days will drain her, too, but don’t they do that for everyone? LOL.
11. How are they vocally expressive? What kind of voice, accent, tones, inflections, volume, phrases and slang, and manner of speaking do they use?
☆┆ Ahreum is very soft spoken, though it also changes depending on who she’s with. If she’s with close friends or family, her tone will sometimes change to match the tone of the crowd, or the individual person she’s talking to. But usually among strangers or when she’s by herself (Sometimes she talks to herself… but usually only when she’s working or if she’s busying herself with a task when she’s alone… LOL.), her ‘default’ tone is soft spoken and quiet.
12. How are they bodily expressive? How do they use nonverbal cues such as their posture, stance, eyes, eyebrows, mouths, and hands?
☆┆ There’s so much and so many ideas I have for her movements that I could go into for so long, but I’ll try to keep it short. Again, short and small movements show that she’s either uncomfortable with something or she just doesn’t want to move much, but it’s expressed in how she’ll keep to herself. If she’s uncomfortable while sitting on the sofa, she’ll curl up and hug her knees. If she’s happy or relaxed, she’ll sit normally, or even sometimes take up a laying position on the floor (though that’s usually done among friends, who usually get a chuckle or two out of her laying down.) For her standing positions, I haven’t thought much about that. Or her other expressions, really– I’ll have to think about it more.
DISPOSITION AND TEMPERAMENT. (A.K.A The questions I’m most excited about and think about the most.)
13. How do they greet the world — what is their typical attitude towards life? How does it differ in different circumstances, or towards different subjects? Why do they take these attitudes, and why do they change? How do these tend to be expressed?
☆┆ Ahreum always greets the world with an optimistic view, though she also has a keen sense of realism, and this is in all aspects of life. As a child, Ahreum was solely optimistic– she had the childlike view like many other kids her age, though as she grew older and certain things in her life took place, she grew more and more to have the realistic eye. But, while she gained the realism, she never let go of her optimism, giving her the ability to see in both ways. When going into a certain, favorable situation, she’ll always look at it positively, going head first with optimism. Though, realism always takes the passenger seat, and ‘backseat drives’ when necessary.
14. What do they care deeply about? What kind of loyalties, commitments, moral codes, life philosophies, passions, callings, or spirituality and faith do they have? How do these tend to be expressed?
☆┆ Family. Friends and family. Her loyalties and commitments always are with her family. Despite her estrangement to her father, Ahreum is a very family-orientated person– her dreams, loyalties, and commitments are all with her current family and the family she envisions (her future husband and children). She’s highly passionate about family, as well as astronomy, and that’s definitely shown in her character. In regards to her faith, Ahreum is religious, though not heavily. She doesn’t pray, and she doesn’t go to church, but she believes in God. I suppose she’s moderately Christian.
15. What kind of inner life do they have — rich and imaginative? Calculating and practical? Full of doubts and fears? Does it find any sort of outlet in their lives?
☆┆ A mixture? Well…. I suppose her imaginative, optimistic, and practical side are more outwardly. Her doubts and fears are kept inward, characterized as her anxieties, though they don’t appear as often as they used to. Within the past few months, I’ve created a headcanon for her that when Ahwoo moved into their apartment, she started releasing the anxieties by painting. During the day, if she needs something to distract her mind from the rare anxieties, she can’t stargaze so she’ll try to paint the stars instead.
16. Do they dream? What are those dreams like?
☆┆ Ahreum definitely dreams. While her dreams when she’s asleep are often forgettable and quick, she also daydreams a lot. She’ll dream of the future and where she sees herself. It helps her create goals for herself.
17. Are they more shaped by nature or nurture — who they are, or what has happened to them? How have these shaped who they’ve become as a person?
☆┆ Ahreum is more shaped by nurture. She’s shaped by what has happened to her, as well as being shaped by her optimism of the future. Her past experiences have taught her, and she takes that knowledge with her into the future. Her past experiences have helped her realize who she wants to be around and which direction she wants her life to go. Though, nature also has a hand in her personality. She’s a lot like her mother, but there’s also a lot behind that that’s too much for me to explain in this moment. (The nature of being like her mother has caused her to be more nurturing… So instead of nature vs. nurture, I suppose it’s both. LOL.)
18. What kind of person could they become in the future? What are some developmental paths that they could take, (best, worst, most likely?) what would cause them to come to pass, and what consequences might they have? What paths would you especially like to see, and why?
☆┆ Yo, this one’s DEEP. And long… Ahreum is a very nurturing, caring, and optimistic person, but I suppose there’s always a path that could change that. I don’t want it to change, so that basically answers the last part of the question. Best scenario, is that she stays the way she is– she’s a happy person, she’s optimistic with a sense of realism, and she’s got everything in her life that could ever make her happy. She’s content and happy with her life, and will continue to be happy. Worst situation is that she loses everything, and everything becomes a shithole and she becomes a lonely pessimist. Ahreum is afraid of abandonment, so losing every positive aspect in her life would not only make her generally upset, but it would also heighten her fear. She’d become closed off, and her ability to be open would become an inability. Most likely, she will continue the path she is on, which is the positive, content, nurturing path. This is the one I would especially like to see her continue on, and I’m going to do everything I can to write her to be this way– I want my babygirl to be happy.
CONNECTIONS WITH OTHERS.
19. How do they behave within a group? What role(s) do they take? Does this differ if they know and trust the group, versus finding themselves in a group of strangers? Why?
☆┆ I answered this one a lot in earlier questions, but I suppose I can go more into it. In a group, especially a large one, Ahreum takes the role of the wallflower– she’ll keep to herself or she’ll only socialize with maybe one or two people at a time. However, this does differ between how well she knows and trusts the group. If it’s a group of people she knows and trusts well, she’s more likely to socialize with a lot more people than if it were a group of strangers.
20. What kind of individual relationships do they have with others, and how do they behave in them? How are they different between intimate relationships like friends, family, and lovers versus more impersonal relationships?
☆┆ She’s more open around her friends, family, and her lover than she is with impersonal relationships. To strangers, coworkers, and even acquaintances, she’s more reserved and closed off, though she still socializes.
21. What kind of relationships do they tend to intentionally seek out versus actually cultivate? What kind of social contact do they prefer, and why?
☆┆ Ahreum seeks out positive relationships, and tends to cultivate the same. As for social contact, she prefers face-to-face, because she finds it easier to communicate that way, though she’ll use SMS with people freely.
22. How do people respond to them, and why might these responses differ?
☆┆ I’m… not sure? It’s different with everybody, I suppose.
23. How do they respond to difficult social moments? What makes them consider a social situation difficult?
☆┆ In response to difficult social moments, Ahreum will ‘shut down’, so to speak. She’ll grow tense, and grow quiet, and it’ll usually take her either a half an hour to a day or two to finally respond and confront the difficult social interaction. She’ll usually consider a social situation difficult if it becomes intrusive or awkward.
24. How do they present themselves socially? What distinguishes their “persona” from their “true self”, and what causes that difference?
☆┆ Ahreum is not a social person to strangers, and will not actively present herself out to start new friendships, and she more than likely has to be introduced to someone to form a friendship. While she’s an optimistic person about many things, she’s also very shy when it comes to meeting strangers. Her “persona” is different than her “true self” because when she’s closer to someone, she becomes a lot more open and she shares more information about herself than if she met a stranger, but I suppose that could be said for almost anybody. A lot of these questions are so hard to answer because every answer is the same to me ;;;;
25. What do they need and want out of relationships, and how do they go about getting it?
☆┆ She needs supportive friends– supportive friends who care about her work and her home life, while not asking unsolicited or intrusive questions. She needs friends to care for her and remind her that she deserves the friends she has. Growing up, Ahreum didn’t have a lot of friends, so friendships now are extremely special to her, and sometimes she needs to be reminded of just how much she deserves said friends. How she receives the friendships, is difficult to explain but I’ll try my best– she basically gives what she wants and needs in return. She’ll be accepting, supportive, caring, etc. And if someone is meant to be her friend, she believes they will return the kindness.
Now, if this is talking about romantic relationships, there’s more to it. With a romantic relationship, she needs and wants the same amount of support and care as her friendships, but also more. Her romantic relationship needs to involve someone who is going to support her and care for her through every decision she makes, while also helping to guide her in the right path. He needs to love her and remind her of his love, be caring, and help her grow to become a better person. He needs to help her be able to see the good in the past when she’s feeling down, and help guide her to learn from the bad and help her grow from it. Fortunately, she has all of that in Dongwoo, and he helps with all of what she needs and more, and she couldn’t be any more grateful. I am also extremely happy and grateful that he is the love of her life~
26. How do they view and feel about relationships, and how might this manifest in how they handle them, if it does?
☆┆ For this one I’m assuming it’s just talking about romantic relationships? For the last one I didn’t know which they meant so I answered both but for this one i’m only gonna answer one because it just makes the most sense with the question.
Ahreum has had bad experiences in the past with relationships, but Dongwoo changed her views on relationships for the better. Ahreum is a family-orientated person but with her past experiences she grew distant to the idea of relationships. However, with Dongwoo, she grew more open to the idea of a relationship and now he’s the love of her life, and as time goes on, her desire to marry him grows more and more. Her inner hopeless romantic came out, and after finding the love of her life, she thinks anyone can find theirs, if they want to. ( I tried to be rly fuckin’ cute with this I hope it made you mELT. )
ACTIVITIES AND PREFERENCES.
27. What do they strongly like and dislike, in any category? Why?
☆┆‘Any category’ leaves it open, which makes it harder for me to answer, but her likes and dislikes are listed on her profile… Whether they’re her strong likes and dislikes, I haven’t really thought about that yet. I’ll think about it more and then update that section of her profile when I think about it–
28. What are they likely to do if they have the opportunity, resources, and time to accomplish it? Why?
☆┆ Traveling. The first selling point of traveling to Ahreum was when she was younger, and she found out that viewing stars was different depending on where she was in the world. Ever since she found that out, she’s wanted to travel to see the sky from different places on the ground. She also likes to learn about the different places, so she goes for the learning point of view, as well. So far she’s been to England, Japan, America, and China (not in that order). The next place she wants to go is Greece, if time, money, resources, and opportunity allows it. Maybe for her honeymoon… Heh.
29. What kind of activities, interests, and hobbies do they have? What significance and impact do these have in their lives, both positive and negative?
☆┆ She stargazes, travels, paints, sings (though the only person that knows about her singing and has heard it is Dongwoo b/c she’s embarrassed about her singing voice). A strange habit she has is that sometimes she’ll tie things into knots– if there’s excess string from a fabric or a hoodie string, she’ll tie a knot into the end of it, and sometimes she’ll absentmindedly chew at it. I dunno what made me think of that headcanon but I just thought of it now and I’m stickin’ to it because it’s cute. I want to think of more hobbies and activities for her. One day I’ll think of some more. The current hobbies she has now, though, are all hobbies that helps her reduce stress and anxiety. I think, when I was creating her, I chose those for her main hobbies because of the rough past she has. Her past could potentially bring up stress in times, as well as anxiety, or she’d have those stresses while she was a child, so in order to get rid of the stress, she would have taken up those hobbies. They play a significant positive impact on her life. Except for the knot one– that one’s just a cute quirk she has LOL.
30. What is their preferred level of activity and stimulation? How do they cope if they get either too little or too much?
☆┆ Exercise wise? Usually Ahreum will exercise about one or two times a week, but if she misses a day or goes a day extra, it doesn’t bother her. She’ll also accompany Dongwoo to the gym and exercise with him to keep him company and to motivate him~
31. Is there anything that counts as a “dealbreaker” for them, positively or negatively? What makes things go smoothly, and what spoils an activity or ruins their day? Why?
☆┆ Weather is a huge factor in Ahreum’s day. If the weather is nice outside, she’s more likely to spend at least an hour or two out in the sunshine. But if it’s storming, she will retreat indoors. If it’s storming badly, she will stay in bed and hide out. She’s still afraid of really bad storms, so the dealbreaker on her plans would all come down to the weather.
32. Do they have any “props” that are a significant part of their life, identity, activities, or self-presentation somehow? What are they, how are they used, and why are they so significant? How would these props’ absence impact them, how would they compensate, and why?
☆┆ Um, hmm… I’m not sure if “props” is the right word, but, yes, I suppose so. Ahreum holds things dear to her, and any physical gift she receives from someone, she holds dear to her and it becomes a part of her in some way, shape, or form. The necklace & bracelet set from after her mother’s funeral has become important to her, and she makes sure she doesn’t lose it. She hasn’t once lost it, so I’m not sure what she’d do if she did, but that’s something that she hasn’t had to go without. A lot, if not all, of the gifts that Dongwoo has given her have their special place in their apartment, too– whether it be visible to a visitor’s eye or to the couple’s eyes only, the gifts have their special spots that have a special importance to the astronomer and her relationship with Dongwoo. And while i’m talking on the family route, every year on the anniversary of her mother’s death, she visits her grave and fills up a small box with letters documenting the events of the past year, then she places it near the headstone. It’s a way to keep her mother “filled in” on her life, even if she’s passed. Ahreum started the tradition when she was younger, and has kept it up ever since. It’s a part of her identity now.
THINKING AND LEARNING.
33. How do they learn about the world–what is their preferred learning style? Hands-on learning with trial and error? Research, reading, and note-taking? Observation or rote memorization? Inductive or deductive reasoning? Seeking patterns and organization? Taking things apart and putting them back together? Creative processing via discussing, writing about, or dramatizing things?
☆┆ Research, reading, and note-taking, as well as observation and rote memorization.
34. How do they understand the world–what kind of worldview and thought processes do they have? Why?
☆┆ Ahreum has a very open worldview, and she’s interested in learning more about the world– it’s a part of the reason she likes to travel.
35. How and why do they internalize knowledge? What effect has that had on them?
☆┆ It may be because I’m very, very sleepy right now, but, I…. don’t understand this question. Can I take a pass? LOL.
36. How much do they rely on their minds and intellect, versus other approaches like relying on instinct, intuition, faith and spirituality, or emotions? What is their opinion on this?
☆┆ I feel like this goes almost hand-in-hand on if Ahreum is a realist or an optimistic person, but she’s both. So… I think it all depends on the situation? Depending on what’s happening, she’ll allow either emotions or intellect to approach the situation. Though, it really all depends on the situation.
37. Have they had any special education or training that colors their means of learning about or understanding the world? Conversely, do they lack some kind of education considered essential in their world? What kind of impact has this addition or lack had on them?
☆┆ When Ahreum was younger, she taught herself to be studious. Before she found a stress outlet in painting, singing, or traveling, her stress and negative mood outlets were stargazing and studying. Fortunately, she loved the former and forced herself to enjoy the latter, which resulted in a successful career in and a love of astronomy.
38. Is there anything they wish they could change about their worldview or thought processes? What, and why?
☆┆ Ahreum is mostly content with her worldview, though she sometimes wishes she knew more.
39. What sort of questions or thoughts recur in their lives, either specifically or as a theme? Why are these never answered, or answered permanently to their satisfaction?
☆┆ The themes of the questions are usually themes from the past. Anxieties and questions like that usually come up when thinking about the past, or things she can no longer change, and they’re never answered because she can’t change it– while she talks to him sometimes, her estranged relationship with her father leaves Ahreum with the feeling she can’t ask him about certain topics pertaining to her childhood or her mother, meaning the questions remain unanswered. She still has yet to completely learn about her father and how her mother’s death affected him.
40. What do they wonder about? What sparks their curiosity and imagination, and why? How is this expressed, if it is?
☆┆ Often, Ahreum will daydream about the future, and what kind of future she will have, and this causes wonder and her imagination to spark up. She wonders what kind of house Dongwoo and her will have, if they no longer have enough room in their apartment for themselves and their future children, and she wonders if she’ll still be working as an astronomer or if she’ll retire, etc. She wonders a lot about the future and how it will be, and she imagines how she wants her life, and it becomes expressed in the different goals she creates.
FREE FOR ALL.
41. What associations do they bring to mind? Words or phrases, images, metaphors or motifs? Why?
☆┆ “It is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves.”, the smell of rain, the smell of flowers, books, the feeling of fluffy blankets, a pink-y beige or tan colour (like my mobile theme or twitter theme), the content feeling of being almost asleep but not quite there yet… Things like that. I couldn’t say exactly why because I haven’t yet figured it out myself, but when I try to think of Ahreum, those are some of the things that I also think of
