Stratt in Project Hail Mary at the tech companies
Reading new Murderbot and it's both hard to not read the entire thing as fast as possible AND ALSO stop because I'm stressing for my favorite lil guy
I loooove having the physical Dracula Daily book so much
Y'all I'm so excited for Is God Is. I've been thinking about this play non-stop since 2016 and while I'd rather see it on stage, it's gonna be such a good film
4, 12, 14, 18 for your end of the year asks!!! ♡
End of the year asks
4. Movie of the year?
J'ai perdu mon corps (I Lost My Body). It was a film I've thought about watching for a really long, but never quite made it around to. Very emotional and beautiful. Watched it on one of the harder nights of my year (if not the hardest)
12. Talk about a new friend you made this year
@hambonejr is my favorite new person of the year. We met this year during a language class after hearing a bit about him. He was then added to our D&D campaign only to become our new DM. We've gone from not knowing each other to DM, to now planning to live our lives together. We mesh so very well and I'm excited to have him hopefully as a housemate before too long.
(Gotta be honest, it is possible we met last year, time has stopped feeling real but he can confirm or deny)
14. Favorite book you read this year?
Too many good books. Made it to 15 books finished and 2 very much in progress.
Firekeeper's Daughter by Angeline Boulley was probably my favorite by a considerable amount. It was an incredibly moving story that I have been thinking about for the 9 months or so since I read it.
Also loved:
To Shape a Dragon's Breath by Moniquill Blackgoose
All Systems Red by Martha Wells
Madhouse at the End of the Earth by Julian Sancton
18. A memorable meal this year?
I've had so many. Some good some bad. I think my favorite was making food for you at your house! I was horrible at timing out when to cook the potatoes, but it was so special getting to make food for someone I care so much about 💕
At what point do you DM your tumblr mutual all the awkward photos from high school of y'all?
Do I make a side blog about fish keeping? Not that I've ever had any serious following ever, but it would be a real blog and not my usual tumblr mess of things
My latest hobby is fish keeping. Now I haven't kept fish since I was a little kid with a single goldfish. So what do I start with? Building a custom nightstand to fit a 29 gallon tank
